One thing you can say about this is that it is now apparent to a much wider group of people that Russia, China, and all the corrupt autocrats and kleptocrats would rule the world unimpeded if left to Comrade Saurel.

For example, Putin's assault on the Ukraine can be stopped by one of three options:

1. Nuclear war

2. Large scale conventional war

3. The dollar reserve system

This should provide some insight into such silly pronouncements as cited above.

And, never mind that Buffet has had huge success as an investor.

As for "debt-based" systems...": You mean they'll be giving away BTC and everyone can start using barter again? Wow. That's pretty wacky, even for comrade Saurel.

And how do you know what BTC is worth? You don't unless you can move it into USD, EU, CH, GBP, etc.

I think the fact that Larimer will now be more involved again with EOS and importantly - seen to do so from a public standpoint, will help immensely. Imagine the impact of Vitalik Buterin left Etherium or Do Kwon left Terra. People start to worry when such a public figurehead for a project no longer seems to be leading the charge. With that change and the Mandle fork, we could see a lot of increased interest in the project

Cosmos is such an underrated project. I don’t think most people even know what it is and it still baffles me that it’s market cap is low in relation to some of the projects which are built on it! Being a layer 0, I really think there is so much potential for Cosmos growth. I’ll definitely be watching the details for the mainnet launch of OmniFlix. This could be a great early investment opportunity if they go down the LBP route. An interoperable Metaverse platform in the Cosmos space - yes please!

Just when you think the crypto cult is running out of creative, irrational, unempirical or insane pitches, they surprise you. They just keep coming up with them. I suppose if you set out to offer every fool a customized pitch, that can probably be understood as the genius of sometimes convincing relatively well-functioning individuals of a silly proposition. So...here it is:

“To start moving, you just need to have 5% of the answers to your questions, the other 95% come along the way. Those who want 100% of the answers to start moving remain stuck.”

No rational person wants 100% of answers to any proposed undertaking. And if the answers are either out there or the tools exist and are relatively easy to access to get the answers, then you do that. That could be 5% at the start, but the notion of taking action before you have a lot more has to mean your life or something similar is at stake.

Yes, there are A LOT of fools out there who will read this silliness and say "yeah, right, WTF, I don't know anything and don't have the time or capacity to acquire the knowledge, so LET's GO!"

I want to respect their opinion, but its very difficult to respect an opinion where banning something is part of that opinion. Being completely against bitcoin with opinions you hold I can respect and potentially learn from, but to embrace government overreach, not sure how that is a good view in any regard.

It's true that CBDC's may be in some ways problematic. But for reasonably clean well-governed liberal democracies, they represent an opportunity to make the system work more fairly than delegating to the banking sector, however well-governed and transparent it is.

But the notion that crypto is anything better is not just laughable it is hugely suspect: removing the transparent democratic control over a currency is an invitation to economic and political disaster. There is nothing about crypto that is an "economic" system, let alone one that has proven to be the greatest system to enhance living standards of the most number of people in human history.

Inflation is a feature of every system of production and exchange. It occurs most frequently as a side effect of supply. It can also be caused by mismanagement of an economy. There is a vast and clear history of national and international economics work and why. The silliness advanced in the crypto space that it is a "financial system" or that it somehow will miraculously alter how economies work is at best laughable.

But there are many fools out there who are looking to latch onto some hot tulips or, perhaps worse, are uninformed fools doing no one, including themselves and their progeny a favor.

The will end at some point and not well. Hang on, though, greed, opportunism and non-democratic state-sponsored misinformation will keep the nonsense going still for awhile. Let's hope for the empirically-oriented liberal democracies to swallow and shit this out soon

China, which has completely outlawed it and is in the process of creating its own parallel financial system free of concern about corruption, resource theft, and human rights abuse? Naw.

Russia, which has the largest operation carrying out ransomware attacks around the world that is operated entirely on Bitcoin and is embarking on a 30 year run for their dictator and poisoner of opposition figures? Naw.

Not a hard guess then: western liberal democracies that believe in free and fair democratic elections of government, human rights and free speech (excluding hate speech), and open technocratic operation of regulatory agencies.

Yes, it must pain Mssr. Saurel that good governance restricts the way he and his friends (where ever they might be) would like to operate.

Ahh, so refreshing to hear this kind of talk. So many people still have no idea what bitcoin is, how it works and all of that. I wish I had held on to all of the bitcoin that I have spent, lost and acquired over the years, my life would be so much better. I am buying bitcoin almost everyday now as I know that one day it will be my financial freedom. I try and talk to people, complete strangers, friends ect... Some get it,but most just don't wanna hear it or don't understand it. This article is very well put. 1.6 million users out of billions of people. Your right, in 20 years bitcoin can and most likley be over a million dollars. Once the rest of the population grasps the concept and starts to buy into it. 💥 💥 Boom mass adoption will happen. I like to imagine a world where my small investments in bitcoin now will make me financially free. When everyone is using bitcoin like they use the banks now, then that's when there will be no stopping this. I cant wait until the day. I still use some faucets everyday and collect what i can, when I can and stack thise sats into a wallet and just let them sit there. One the population can grasp that bitcoin can be turned into real cash, and everywhere accepts it, then the explosion will happen. I'm happy to be an early investor. I will continue to invest. One day my children will be financially free from the steps that I am asking now.

A few weeks ago, El Salvador’s Bitcoin Law came into effect and the world has been keeping tabs on the situation. There has been ample coverage of both the protest against president Bukele’s government in general and Bitcoin in particular, while there have also been reports of the cryptocurrency’s successful adoption by some of the population. But let’s take a step back to look at the reasons that prompted the law in the first place: First, decades worth of wrong monetary policy that led to the elimination of Salvadoran national currency in favor of the adoption of the US dollar. Second, an ever-increasing dependency on remittances as a major source of national income and, finally, losing significant amounts of money in transaction fees to get those remittances into the country. But there’s another country in Latin America with a similar situation, and where blockchain-based currencies are having a more discreet, yet no less significant effect on the local economy. My own native country: Venezuela.

How are Venezuela and El Salvador alike? (And how are they different)

Venezuelan monetary policy hasn’t been able to maintain stability of the country’s national currency. While the Bolívar is still in circulation (unlike the Salvadoran Colón), most people and businesses would rather not receive it. Because the Bolívar loses value so quickly, it’s common practice to announce prices for goods and services in US dollars. Those who have them can pay directly in USD. Those who don’t can pay in Bolívares at the current exchange rate, which changes a couple of times each day. So the Bolívar is still officially in use and the US dollar hasn’t been officially adopted, but the day-to-day reality is that the latter is displacing the former.

The big social and economic crisis that Venezuela has been going through over the past couple of decades has led to many people fleeing the country seeking better opportunities elsewhere. Its been estimated that over six million Venezuelans have left the country, most of them during the last five years. Those who find steady work send remittances to family members that are still living in the country and those funds are crucial to survival for many families. Currently a tenured university professor makes about 20 USD a month, so people have to either become remote workers for foreign companies or depend on funds sent from abroad.

Those previous points are similar to the situation in El Salvador. But there is one thing that makes Venezuela’s crisis worse: hyperinflation. Venezuela has been at the top of the list of countries with the highest inflation for several years now. Annual inflation for 2020 was just over 2,700%. For comparison, El Salvador’s inflation for 2020 was 4.3%. The Bolívar loses value so quickly that the government has “reconverted” the currency three times, slashing off zeroes. With the latest reconversion, which will take effect on October 1st 2021, a total of 14 zeroes will have been removed from the currency. On that date, 1 USD might be worth about 4.5 “Bolívares Digitales”. But that’s just an easier way of saying that one dollar will be worth 450,000,000,000,000 original Bolívares.

During times of hyperinflation, one of the people’s defenses against that rapidly diminishing value of their currency is to exchange it for a more stable currency (like the Euro or US Dollar) or commodity (like gold) as soon as possible. But this isn’t always easy to do. Gold isn’t something you can buy around the corner. And dollar bills can be very scarce, especially the lower denominations. At this time, 20, 50 and 100 dollar bills are relatively common in Venezuela, while 10, 5 and 1 dollar bills are extremely difficult to find. So workers who receive payments of 10-15 USD will be very hard-pressed to convert their money into something more stable. Or, rather, that was the case until stablecoins came into the scene.

Cryptocurrency’s status in Venezuela

Generally speaking, Venezuela is a crypto-friendly country, with laws expressly allowing buying, selling, trading and mining crypto tokens, as long as miners register in the government’s National Cryptocurrency Superintendency (SUNACRIP). The government even created its own cryptocurrency, the Petro (PTR), which is not a CBDC. The Petro, however, hasn’t gained much acceptance either within the country or outside. It’s only listed on a handful of small, government-controlled exchanges. Venezuela is among the top countries in cryptocurrency transactions. But, ironically, you would have a very hard time finding a person or business willing to take payments in Bitcoin, Ether or any of the major crypto tokens. It’s perfectly legal for them do so, but don’t. I’ve asked many of these business owners and managers about accepting cryptocurrency payments and they generally tell me they don’t because of one of two main issues: one if them is having bad experiences when receiving payments in Petro and believe that all cryptocurrencies will cause the same issues. The other, more informed owners state that they’re afraid of losing money if crypto prices suddenly crash as they have done before.

Enter Stablecoins

There are two things that have started warming businesses in Venezuela to the crypto world. One of them is more people being aware of stablecoins, with the benefits of cryptocurrencies but without the extreme volatility. The other one is Binance’s easy, instant and no-fee payment service, Binance Pay. Businesses suddenly started accepting payments in USDT or USDC through Binance Pay. This started in large cities like Caracas, the country’s capital, but has spread to other cities over the past few months. I was able to buy groceries, paid for with BNB, back in early June.

Most of you reading this are probably used to purchasing cryptocurrencies with your credit cards. Things aren’t that easy in Venezuela. For starters, most Venezuelan credit cards aren’t enabled for internet payments or any transactions outside the country. Second, card limits are ridiculously low as banks haven’t raised them in years. Many cards have been fixed at a 5,000 Bolívar limit for years. At today’s exchange rate, that would be about 0.0013 USD. There’s not much you can do with that. But using the Binance ecosystem, people can buy crypto with local currency on the peer-to-peer marketplace, trade tokens on the exchange and use the Pay platform in businesses that accept it. Or they can sell their crypto back to fiat at the new exchange rate when they need to. This system is very versatile, but what is definitely isn’t is easy. Crypto novices who just want to safeguard the value of their money and make quick payments find Binance way too complicated.

However, other companies are developing other stablecoin-based products aimed at making things easier for their users. Three of them have been quickly gaining traction among Venezuelans: Reserve, Zinli and Valiu. Let’s take a quick look at them:

Reserve

Out of the three apps we’ll be looking at here, Reserve is the most well-developed and widely-adopted platform. It’s an Android-only (for now) app designed to let users easily buy, sell and make payments in “digital dollars”, which are actually Reserve’s own stablecoin, the RSV token. However, Reserve doesn’t often say that their digital dollar is really a cryptocurrency, probably so as not to scare away people who are afraid of crypto. Similar to the Terra ecosystem of stablecoins, RSV isn’t a central-store backed token, but rather an algorithmic token stabilized by a series of smart contracts tied to the Reserve Rights (RSR) utility token. But most users aren’t aware of the technical aspects of the platform. RSV is listed on several exchanges like Gate.io, Bittrex, Liquid or Uniswap and RSR is listed on Binance, Huobi Global, Bittrex, Bithumb and several others. However, most users buy RSV directly through the app, which uses independent liquidity providers. The app is available to users in Venezuela, Colombia and Argentina and is downloadable for free from the Google Play Store. People can buy RSV with several Venezuelan banks, and also with Argentine and Colombian Pesos, Uphold, Zelle payments, Bitcoin, USDT, USDC, DAI and the recently added tokens from the Axie Infinity NFT game, SLP Ronin and AXS Ronin. Payments between Reserve users are always in RSV and withdrawal options are the same as for deposits, except that you can’t make payments to Zelle accounts but can make ACH transfers to US bank accouunts. Reserve users get both a unique ID they can use to receive payments within the app and also an ERC-20 wallet address that lets them receive RSV tokens from exchanges. The wallet’s interface es very simple, as are all transactions performed with it. Even crypto novices and beginners can be up and running in minutes. People who don’t want to keep their funds in Reserve for extended periods can withdraw to Binance or a personal wallet using USDT on the TRC-20 network with negligible fees. Reserve has been quickly becoming more accepted. In my city there are already grocery stores, bakeries, barber shops, cleaning products stores and even fresh fruit juice stands where you can pay with RSV. Reserve has even started a campaign aimed at asking the UN to declare access to a stable currency a basic human right.

Zinli

Zinli is a Panamanian e-wallet platform. It’s available as mobile apps for both Android and iOS, all free to download and use. Like Reserve, it offers several options for purchasing digital dollars and users can also receive a virtual debit card for online purchases. The project is catching on, even though there are apparently a few issues. For starters, it’s not clear which stablecoin Zinli is centered on and there have been criticisms on their technical support and issues regarding the debit card. Although Zinli was created to offer a payment platform for unbanked Panamanians, it’s become very popular in Venezuela as well.

Valiu

The Valiu app, available for Android and iOS, was ceated by a Colombian-Venezuelan startup with the intention of simplifying the sending of remittances between both countries, but has evolved into a popular payment app. It offers several options for quick and easy purchasing of their native stablecoin, the Valiu Dollar (USDv). However, this token doesn’t appear to be listed on any exchange yet. The app is very easy to use for buying USDv, making payments or selling USDv back to fiat currency. It’s become a popular option, especially among those with relatives or friends living in Colombia.

Wrapping it up…

Cryptocurrencies and blockchains have the potential to create a new global economy free from the influence of central banks and traditional financial institutions. There may come a day when you can walk into any store and buy a cup of coffee and pay with WAX, EOS, Ether or any other cryptocurrency. But we’re not there quite yet. If you live in a country with a strong economy and a stable currency, stablecoins are an interesting option. They are easy to buy and use but don’t suffer from the volatility issues that traditional cryptocurrencies have. While several situations in Venezuela have rendered credit cards almost useless, there are ways in which people can purchase cryptocurrencies, including stablecoins, with a lot more ease. While the Binance platform was a great start, these other apps, that specifically incorporate or were even designed with Venezuelan banks in mind, are really helping spread stablecoin use among the masses. The may not be a law officially declaring stablecoins as legal tender in Venezuela, but the current movement, structured from the ground up, is also worthy of keeping an eye on.

Any cross-over between a NFT project and a sports organization that has decent audience will sell. It has two benefits:

1- Fans want to support their team and own a piece which associates with their team or the organization they follow.

2- People in NFT area sees the value because of the size of organization.

I think it's a good move from Upland. I'm not playing it but I know that it has decent amount of players on mobile. So this move probably will increase the value of Upland considering the demand on American football in NA. I'm not sure if it will attract players from EU or other continents tho, because dominant sports is football -as you guys call it soccer- in remaining part of the world.

I didn't know Ethereum like this. I knew that it was constantly burning and there was unlimited supply. But I didn't understand. Just because people are so confident in what they have unlimited supply for.
Frankly, I saw a little small Ethereum. I made a big mistake. It's a really great system that works.
The fact that NFTs on the Ethereum network are hyped supports the burning. That means we're getting closer to that day. On the day when the burning speed will be faster than the printing speed.
Although the supply has increased, it has seriously gained in value. And who knows what happens when the burn gets in the way of printing. I feel like I need to buy Ethereum now.

September 13, 2021, will forever be marked as the day of one of the fastest pumps & dumps in the history of the cryptocurrency world. It all started from fake news pushed by Globe Newswire that was distributed by all the most famous media platforms in the world of finance such as Bloomberg or Reuters:

CNBC then came along and added fuel to the fire with a tweet and a full article on Wallmart's alleged announcement of support for Litecoin payments starting in early October 2021 :

This hit the cryptocurrency world like a bomb yesterday. That's all it took for some influencers to start fuming on Twitter saying that old cryptocurrencies never die.

This market manipulation saw all stops up liquidated in a matter of minutes which caused Litecoin's price to jump over 30%:

Wallmart's official denial took about 30 minutes which then caused the big dump with the Litecoin price returning to the initial point around $180. All stops down were then liquidated.

At the same time, Bitcoin and Ethereum saw their prices jump. The whole market was excited about this announcement. Of course, all these cryptocurrencies fell quickly once the real news was known to all: it was just a market manipulation.

Two major lessons to be learned from this Litecoin Fake News episode

This episode of the Litecoin Fake News is here to remind you of two key lessons in my opinion.

The first lesson is always the same: "Don't Trust, Verify".

Be critical when you see news appear on Twitter or in the media. Be suspicious. Ask yourself if it makes sense then wait for more information. Don't give in to the prevailing FOMO. My first reaction was to wonder why Wallmart would choose Litecoin over Bitcoin and the Lightning Network.

From there, I immediately sensed the market manipulation and preferred to stay back and wait. The wait was not long as the fake news was announced in less than an hour. But some people, who deleted their tweets from now on, showed that they had a problem applying this rule.

Even big media like CNBC fell into the trap. Well, the trap is an exaggerated word, since we could go as far as imagining a deal between Wall Street and the media to manipulate the markets. This would unfortunately not be the first time.

The victim? It's the retail investors, as always.

This is where my second lesson comes in. Don't try to time the market. Understand that your natural advantage is the time you are willing to spend in the market. Time in the market always beats timing the market. This is a golden rule.

Final Thoughts

The best way to protect yourself from these market manipulations of Wall Street and the Whales is to take the long view. Don't buy Bitcoin or Litecoin, or whatever Altcoin you can think of, based on a FOMO news story like this.

Invest your money by weighing the pros and cons. Take the long view and then keep your emotions in control. If you think Litecoin has a great future, that's right. But only invest in LTC if you have that long-term vision, not because some fake news is spreading on social networks.

This is probably the hardest thing to do in the cryptocurrency world. Yet it is a necessity to avoid losing money. Hopefully, this lightning-fast market manipulation will remind you of this essential truth and allow you to be warier next time.

Always keep your emotions under control and check all information with a critical eye. This is what Bitcoin is constantly teaching us.

Murat Pak! I got to know him years ago on Twitter thanks to Archillect. Archillect is a synthetic intelligence that finds inspirational images through social media channels and shares them through these channels, or an artificial intelligence depending on the point of view. Developed by Murat Pak.

I knew him before I knew anything about NFT. I follow Archillect and him with great interest. I was very excited and surprised when his one-pixel NFT sold for $1.36 million.

His art of pure simplicity is truly extraordinary. Simplicity coincides with my understanding of design and art. Perhaps one of the artists who does it best. He uses Twitter effectively and makes sure everyone is aware of him. I am sure that he will take the NFT industry to a very different dimension with his art.

But since she was the main reason for my intersection with Pak, I wanted to mention her specifically. I love Archillect because sometimes she posts such photos that it's hard not to be impressed. Just like she posted our founder, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, on November 10, the anniversary of his death. Sometimes the photos I take even make me think, "A-ha! I took an Archillect photo." The reason I think about this is because the photos Archillect posted stick in my memory and have a certain quality. She has a unique style. Anyway, that was off topic... I totally agree with what you said about Pak. Despite all this, it's ridiculous that so few people know him. At https://cryptoart.io/artists, He is currently rank 2 behind Beeple. One of the top NFT artists on many sites as well. I guess that explains everything. I am proud to be of the same nationality as him. I'm sure the number of people who know about him will increase every day.

I completely agree with the starved EOS dev ecosystem. As someone entering the dev space it has been extremely challenging. I like the EOS tech more than the ETH/solidity tech, but the complete lack of a development ecosystem has made it extremely challenging. Anything to grow that base would be really huge.

A collective and decentralised way of improving something (koala sanctuary in this case) is such a great way of using the power of the people. Here's my thoughts about these myths:

1-) China has always been an isolated country. They don't want to depend on something instead they want the world to depend on them, and if we look at economical and industrial level it is happening in some extend. Long story short, not just Bitcoin I think they also want to restrain usage of dollars, turning it to a currency which they would be in charge. Most of the world sees the cold war going between USA and Russia, but I think China is the stronger opponent than Russia.

2-) In one of the recent articles Sylvain was explaining why %51 attack is impossible to succeed, the reasons is quite convincing. In theory it is possible but in fact it is far away than possible, there is no power to achieve this after the dispersion from China; yet I still don't think it would be possible with China, mining companies wouldn't let it happen.

3-) Environmentalists are attacking to Bitcoin by claiming the mining procedure harms our planet, but they aren't aware the fact that other monetary systems are the main reason of environmental harm ( I think they are very aware, and they are driven by Bitcoin opponents or they don't have power to fight other systems but Bitcoin).

This is obviously not the case, I find this myth the weakest one among others. The system keeps improving, and it's becoming more eco-positive by time so there's nothing to worry.

4-) Governments are aware of the potential of Bitcoin, it is hard to think contrary. However, I think they aren't keen on growing an interest on it because that would mean losing most of the power they are holding. Could you imagine what would happen to monetary systems if all of the nations would agree in future of Bitcoin? I think they would keep losing the value (as they are losing today) then collapse or they would immediately crash.

As nations cannot put common opinion even on a simple thing, it is not possible for them to unite and restrict Bitcoin altogether.

5-) I have no idea what quantum computing means and what it is currently capable of. This seems interesting. I don't think transition to quantum level would have harm on Bitcoin's current basis since it's upgradable. What I concern is the possibility of a new system that can out-class blockchain technology, therefore Bitcoin.

Cryptowriter's articles that I enjoy reading the most are about NFT and art. I am directly interested in design and art and I find it very valuable to talk about it. With NFT technology, it is possible to talk about crypto and art together. Perhaps the two areas I've been most interested in lately.

First of all, thank you and Cryptowriter for introducing us to another artist. There is so much to talk about and I don't know where to start.

I loved his art. I did some research with his name and I really think he has a very different style. He may not have great line quality, but he clearly doesn't need it. He uses random or rough lines, and that's his choice, that's obvious. And that's a style I love. Every detail has been carefully thought through, and the color palette is enormous. As you said, this kind of work can be done with After Effects. It could also be drawn in Illustrator and animated in After Effects. Either way, it takes a lot of work. Although it may seem easy, each detail here represents a different layer. Each layer makes the job harder by crowding the workspace. I also know how difficult it is because I use these instruments. It requires tremendous patience and care. It seems Andreas has more than enough of that patience and care.

As I said, there are so many details, and it's impossible to perceive them all at once. Every time the animation rewinds, I examine a different detail, and it feels great. I think it can make you feel very different with a suitable music that can be put behind it.

I mentioned it in another NFTwriter article, I want to mention it again. There is an application called Tagtool and it is designed for exactly these kind of works. It is possible to do beautiful works without even needing a pen. If Andreas reads the comments, I recommend him giving it a try. Maybe you can deliver my message to him, Joe. :P While it's not a replacement for what he's done with After Effects, it can make things easier and add a new dimension to his work. Tagtool's animation algorithm is a little different and full of surprises.

I totally agree with what you said in the last paragraph. Every artist has a different style. Even the artists using the same instruments can create very different things with the way they use them, their imagination and color preferences. Isn't that what we call art? Andreas Karaoulanis is a Motion Artist. An artist who thinks in motion. I really like this phrase.

It was a very enjoyable article, I know it's a bit long, I'm sorry :D I have a lot to talk about, but even this may have been too much.

A good quality gaming computer with a high end video card can often make a few dollars a month through selling hashing power on the market. Maybe it’s the fear of unknown outcomes caused by an overwhelming amount of new ideas. Trust in humanity to stand against terror and the ills that historically plague society is by no means trivial. Still, innovation, especially widespread across small business ventures, demonstrates a knack for solving challenging problems. This is at the heart of crypto. 

Overview of the Infrastructure Bill’s Crypto Section (80603)

With the above in mind, consider the U.S. Senate’s recent approval of an infrastructure bill. Draw your attention to how a single vote determines the fate of both road investment as well as a heavy taxation of finance conducive for aviation, i.e. crypto.

• DEFINITION OF DIGITAL ASSET— as determined by the Secretary, ‘digital asset’ to mean “any digital representation of value”

• RETURN REQUIREMENT FOR CERTAIN TRANS-FERS OF DIGITAL ASSETS NOT OTHERWISE SUBJECT TO REPORTING— returns pertaining to unsold transfers and accounts of unknown parties

  • REPORTING PENALTIES— pertaining to returns of digital assets 

• TREATMENT AS CASH FOR PURPOSES OF SECTION 6050I—inserting “any digital asset” to prior text

• EFFECTIVE DATE—December 31, 2023.

• RULE OF CONSTRUCTION— regarding to interference of this section upon actual implementation

You can read the drafted text released by the Senate (via National Law Review) as a Google Doc here or at epw.senate.gov. The National Law Review shared the following perspective: 

... if enacted in its current form, would amend the Internal Revenue Code (Code) to extend certain reporting requirements for ... digital assets,... is intended to address a “tax gap” resulting from the underreporting of cryptocurrency transactions.

Beyond the Infrastructure Bill

Stating Bluntly

At this stage, we must expect more from lawmakers than trying to hit the broadside of a barn, especially due to “hasty” legislation. Let the voices of those knowledgeable about crypto and blockchain be heard the loudest. Furthermore, if local use cases across the globe are not enough to earn respect, then regulators must explain why their actions would inhibit progress in line with:

• Venezuela

• El Salvador

• Wyoming

• Malta

People who call these regions home are organized and taking a strong stance towards modernizing financial instruments.

Business Sentiment

A growing number of investors are as well. Investopedia recognizes the value of pairing crypto with innovation. The battle will continue!

Bringing the Fight to the House. No wonder why Rakesh Sharma chose the subheader “Crypto advocates are suiting up for a battle in the House of Representatives” in Senate Fails to Pass Amendment to Crypto Tax Provision. Financial professionals in the know understand the need for clearer regulations. Section 80603 as it stands now only serves to cloud, and hence cause hesitation, among innovators.

CONCLUDING REMARKS

Outside of those intimately tied to traditional financial systems there are few agressive efforts to curtail the spread of crypto. Informed investors overwhelmingly support various aspects of blockchain technology, including NFTs. The public’s conscience needs to be awakened to these matters. Information must be made available for individuals to more easily investigate for themselves. Individuals must decide if they wish to pass on the advantages that crypto has to offer. 

Blockchain will live on. That’s as sure as the human need for real money. The world is at the precipice of change. Any number of respected sources will reiterate this. Here are a few more:

  in their quest to raise concerns about the crypto industry paying for the Senate infrastructure bill:

Alienworlds... I found my way into WAX ecosystem thanks to this game. I both advanced my knowledge and volume of my wallet since middle of April during TLM was preparing to be listed on Binance.

I like playing games, and I have interest in blockchain technology, thereby GameFi is something I call revolutionary. While Bitcoin was being steady past 2 months, many investors drove their way into crypto games. I think it is the main reason why we have seen huge interests and volume in this area. Now Bitcoin is driving up so the volume in here tends to decrease, surely it is not the end way for gamification. I call it only the beginning, there are a lot to accomplish once bull run gets approved or Bitcoin gets steady again.

Confidence in the crypto market is declining because of scammers. We are suffering from this. There are scams about cryptocurrencies in the news. It's really hard to tell people that the whole stock market isn't a scam just because a few people have scammed.

We always call crypto freedom, we are happy to say that it is not under anyone's control, but don't you think a regulation is necessary?

If there is no control and no regulation, I do not think that this will end well. Most of you have watched the movie The Purge, where no rules or bans are applied for a day in the movie. So all crimes are free. As a result, the world turns into a catastrophic place. So rules and regulations should always be in our lives.

The real issue to be discussed is who will make these arrangements?

It would be ridiculous for states to regulate, because each state has its own rules. For example, crypto regulation in North Korea will not be the same as crypto regulation in America, so a more global power like the UN should make the regulation.

Of course, no one knows the future but Allah, but we believe in BTC, we believe in technology, we all spend more or less time in the stock market. If we believed the crypto market would end or BTC would drop, we would withdraw our money and buy stocks.

Sylvain self-criticizes in the article, a move to be respected. I say the same thing every time, even if you hear investment advice from someone you trust very much, research again, what harm would it be to learn new information and research. otherwise you are a sheep doing what others say. There are many people who use this situation to their advantage, we should be very careful with them. He calls people investment advice, but either pumps his own money or takes money from the owners of the money he offers.

I'll change the subject a bit, but there was an article recently about the personality traits of people who invest in the stock market. People who are skeptical and do not believe everything they hear do not trade without research. Also, when they lose, they blame themselves, not others, because they've done their research, so it's much better to blame yourself than blame others.

When I first entered the crypto exchange, I was only 17 years old and even because I was under 18, I opened the exchange account to my father. I knew two things about the stock market, one is ETH and the other is BTC, but now I know hundreds of coins. Of course I have made mistakes so far, even if I was a little careless, I made the same mistake over and over. When transferring money from one exchange to another, I would constantly use the wrong network and lose my money. but now I know almost all networks by heart. I decided to go into leverage trading for a while, but it was too complicated and I finally solved the problem by trying it. In short, I want to say that we will improve ourselves by making mistakes. This is the law of the world.

I am also an introverted person. I'm not antisocial. I can chat with people comfortably whenever I want, I can go out in front of crowds. This however, is a matter of preference. When I isolate myself from the outside world (when appropriate), I both feel better and increase my creativity.

I love Stina's work. She does very good work with her imaginary and humble characters to describe herself. Her use of colours, her unique lines, the design of her characters, they are all very beautiful and very "sweet." Our understanding of art and taste is similar. I really laughed at the Copy Cat joke :D It was my favourite.

In particular, I was very impressed by her strong presence in this field as a woman. I hope more women enter the NFT world. They beautify this place. I must say, I wish I had all of these characters!

We don't have to show ourselves, that's how I am in most media. I do not love. In this sense, I find the attitude of Stina and you very close to me. We can achieve such beautiful things without fully revealing ourselves. Our art speaks, not us. :)

I am an industrial design student. I am also interested in graphic design and animation. When I first came across NFTs, I was excited for something like this to happen. Stina and successful artists like her also elevate my excitement. Art will always exist!

The simpler it is the more chance that it will attract more users. It applies everywhere, not just Google or Amazon if you look at most of the popular things, they are simple to use. We can also refer to volume of Bitcoin, before the known crypto markets it was not easy to buy and sell Bitcoin but now the transaction is one click away even in our mobile phones. There are many factors that had impact on the price of Bitcoin, but I believe accessibility is one of them.

I think the time of DeFis didn't come yet, considering their volume and the reasons stated in the article. However, they promise us a better future, and I believe we will see it soon or later.

I would love to see EOS participating in the improvements of DeFi and attracting more users in terms of simplicity. Bullish has a lot to accomplish.

I often forget in this community that many members are not from US. I am not of the same mindset when it comes to censorship because of where I am located. I see censorship as a necessity to block hate-spewing personalities on the internet. Those people should not be given the platform to elevate their voice.

Even with that mindset, I agree with your point of view in this article. One of the main things any writer tries to accomplish is to convince their audience of a point. With your evenhanded handling of this topic you've managed to convince me that perhaps, in this instance, YouTube and larger entities are stepping over the line in what they deem unsuitable for their platform. It's a sliding scale where the target is arbitrary and the rationale murky at best.

There's a middle ground where "censorship" serves a purpose. This is not one of those cases.

On a personal note, "centralized megalith", holy shit that's some good writing.

I love it when the media hype around Bitcoin fades while price is down. This is usually a good indication of the end of this short bear market and to resume the macro bullish trend. Since as long as you do your own research and stay away from the herd you will be doing great in cryptos.

I agree with you that 30K USD was a psychological level which in theory once broken down we should have entered a long bearish trend. However, that alone is just a single piece of the puzzle that you can’t solve without combining the other pieces (aspects of market analysis). In my opinion, the three aspects to market analysis are fundamental, technical, and sentimental analysis.

Starting with the fundamental aspect, It is more bullish than ever. As you mentioned in your article about how inflation is breaking a new record in America and how the Fed will be maintaining aggressive monetary policies. These fundamentals dictate the macro trend of Bitcoin which is up regardless of the small fluctuations we get by FUD or by any unexpected political events.

For technical analysis, I can confidently tell you that Bitcoin will go up to 100K USD by the end of 2021. You can see in my Chart Analysis article for Bitcoin (Bitcoin Price Update 07/27/2021) since I analyzed Bitcoin for short and long terms starting with small time frames like hourly chart going up to weekly chart. Briefly, price has been following a gigantic rising channel and price found support near the 50% retracement level and got rejected from it with great volume which indicates strong reversal to the upside.

Finally, sentiment analysis can also drive price since it is influenced by media which drives people to feel excessive hype/fear of buying/selling. So, best way to benefit from it is to follow the exact opposite of the herd’s sentiment while verifying your analysis with past two approaches (fundamental, technical). Means if fundamental and technical aspects are bullish and the population sentiment is “Fear” then it is the best opportunity to buy into Bitcoin. Do it with confidence.

The perception that all blockchains are harmful to the environment needs to change.

In particular, the corruption you mentioned in the article stands before us as a serious problem.

Think how deep this corruption is in third world countries.

this is a clear picture of how far more people are from a fair share.

While corruption makes a few rich, the people who really need help are in trouble.

Blockchain can solve this in any field.

this is inevitable for a more just world.

I think that blockchains such as eos and xrp are more efficient and this efficiency will be understood more clearly over time.

With this awareness, we will see that these environmentally friendly blockchains will be included in our lives in many areas.

we can see how states and governments are using the funds created for refugees. It is clear that this is not distributed fairly.

As a designer, it's excited to see arts and new designs in the blockchain world. I love how he uses the colors in a composition. He has a strong composition all his works.

We can stare at the details each 100x100 pixels. Every details of his works want to tell us something. I really liked his work Chakra. Double symmetry technique in that artwork is ambrosial.

I can see that he loves the symmetry on his works, which i love too. Symmetry making his artworks stronger in terms of continuity.

Finally, i really wonder those artworks in a live art. Yes, i mean animation. I don't know if he does animation or not, but those patterns become insane with animation. If he would read this comment, I definitely recommend that he crown these works with animation. "Tagtool" is a wonderful app for this.

EOS Section

Siferdub’s comment on EOSweekly: Web Authen, DAPP, Modihost, B1, EdenOnEOS, Finney Flexes, Chintai, and WAX OIG

I worry that when LiquidApps makes it possible to send EOS NFTs to WAX that the EOS NFTs will render oddly on the WAX AtomicHub Market Place (and that this will be the case for any non-native NFT on the market places of any non-native blockchain). Possible issues could be a lack of Whitelisting, the data associated with the NFT not displaying correctly in the non-native marketplaces, or some other technical issues that mean the non-native assets appear in a distorted way. This will make the NFTs themselves potentially worth less, even though they've been transferred to the WAX environment where there would theoretically be a stronger market for them.

I also worry what this will do to CryptoFinney 1.0 assets. At the moment they are holding their value well on both the EOS and WAX blockchains. This is because the Cryptowriter team seem to have struck the right note in terms of supply-side mechanics with the coin allocation system drip feeding the market in a manner that allows the assets to maintain value. When the bridge opens however, it will pave the way for 5,000 EOS CryptoFinney 1.0 assets to flood the WAX market. If the issue mentioned above regarding asset integration on AtomicHub is not an issue, this influx of supply may flood the market in a manner that devalues the existing WAX assets (and possibly the EOS ones as well).

Thirdly, EOS is still far from maturity in terms of being a serious NFT blockchain. Whilst the capabilities to support NFTs are there, the market just isn't, unless you're Cryptowriter. This gives me concern in the sense that if all EOS NFT's can be sent over the bridge to WAX, there will be nothing left on EOS, which could be a great setback to EOS in terms of further NFT innovation.

With all of this in mind I have mixed feelings about the proposed NFT bridge from EOS to WAX.

We are still in the AOL days of crypto and Ethereum will be an important part of the transition to the crypto-web. Every investment vehicle rises or falls for certain reasons. These reasons sometimes affect them in the long term, and some of them are temporary.

While Bitcoin was at the level of 64 thousand dollars, it saw 30 thousand dollars in May-June.

Now the reasons for his dreams are clear: China, Elon musk, the use of fossil fuels, etc. Let's take a look at them.

If we take China; China has been trying to restrict innovations since this market existed and even before.

For example, the Google browser was introduced, banned and released the 'Baidu' browser. It produced alternatives such as 'Youku' instead of Youtube and 'WeChat' instead of Whatsapp. So you see, the problem is not Bitcoin.

On the other hand, bitcoin transactions are already limited in China. It has been this way from the very beginning, but by exaggerating this situation, the American financial media, which describe such a situation as if it is the first time, are the biggest criminals in my eyes.

There has been a lot of good news since May. Many networks entered the race for self-improvement. Blockchain began to integrate into the real world faster than before. Such positive events, on the other hand, were not reflected in the news media.

On bad news, they immediately FUD. They keep the positive news in the background.

Another example, Bitcoin lost 10 percent right after Elon Musk announced that the use of bitcoin in Tesla vehicle purchases was suspended. Elon Musk argued that behind this decision, it was to prevent the use of fossil fuels. So my first question to you is, didn't an intelligent person like Elon know this before? Until a few months ago, it was manipulating the market in a positive way (I am also against this situation).

Anyway, this thing happened. And to everyone's ears, the FUD spread and the decline took place. It may be ok so far.

Now, Elon Musk has said that his company can continue to receive payments in Bitcoin depending on its energy consumption. However, there is only one condition, that at least 50% of the energy used by miners must be renewable.

It has been revealed that Bitcoin transactions are made by using 56% renewable energy.

So, how much of this situation was reflected in the media? Only we know this, that is, investors who follow well. Unfortunately, those who joined the market later, sold at a loss and withdrawn, are not aware of these news.

I extended the word a bit, but we are in a difficult process. The 5 by 5 rule mentioned in the article is a very good example. And the remaining information is invaluable. By thinking rationally and doing some research, you can increase your confidence in this technology or investment vehicle.
