The Immersys Property Sale will begin on Wednesday, February 2. There will be 52 residential properties and ten retail properties available for auction. The first round of property auctions will include 20 residential and five retail properties and will end on Thursday, February 3. The second round will end on Friday, February 4, and will consist of 16 residential and three retail properties. The third and final round will end on Saturday, February 5, and will include 16 residential and two retail properties.

2. How Do I Bid on Virtual Properties?

Retail Properties

DeFi or decentralized finance is a big blockchain trend today. Peer-to-peer trading and lending-borrowing activity without the intervention of a middleman or third party has become possible due to DeFi. The exponential growth of DeFi in 2020-2021 has really surprised the world and provided an alternative to traditional finance with transparency and better financial inclusion. TVL (Total Value Locked) of DeFi is $95 billion+ today i.e., 375% year-on-year growth. DeFi originated on the Ethereum blockchain and maximum DeFi activity is still happening on it but many other blockchains are showing high promise. The future of DeFi is definitely going to be multi-chain.

BluDAC Incentivized LPs on WAX

The TVL of DeFi generally comes from the liquidity pools. These liquidity pools are crowdsourced pools of tokens locked inside smart contracts of decentralized platforms. The pools facilitate the trading of tokens in a trustless manner. DeFi TVL has exploded due to the liquidity pools as anybody and everybody can participate in the pools with their assets and can earn trading fees. Liquidity providing is a market-making mechanism, so the pools provide incentives often to draw more TVL. BluDAC wants to tap that by bringing innovation to community building. True decentralization must be brought for the sustenance of a DeFi platform. To take part in the BluDAC liquidity pool, you need to buy BLU first. You can buy BLU from Alcor Exchange by swapping WAX for it in the now-deep BLU/WAX pool.. After swapping for BLU, you need to provide liquidity to any listed BLU pool (ex-BLU/YOSHIBK). The liquidity providing mechanism is similar to any other DeFi platform. After providing liquidity, you can stake the Alcor LP tokens on the BluDAC platform when it gets launched. They are targeting Oct 18th to go live after being delayed a few days for more testing. On August 23, Binance listed WAX (WAXp) on its exchange. Trading is now open on the following pairs: WAXP/BTC, WAXP/BNB, WAXP/BUSD, WAXP/USDT.

Binance is a top exchange, responsible for 24 hour trading volumes in the $30 billion range. Worldwide Asset eXchange (WAX) is an EOS compatible blockchain designed to facilitate e-commerce. WAX uses a delegated proof-of-stake (DPoS) consensus algorithm and has many features that make it more user friendly than is common in the crypto space. The price of WAX skyrocketed when the exchange listing was announced.

As you can see, after the announcement, the price of WAXP spiked from about $0.18 to about $0.48 in just a short time. It's still unclear where price support will eventually consolidate, but it's safe to say that this support will continue floating above previous levels due to the increased demand produced by Binance exchange exposure.

What this Means for WAX

The most successful use case for WAX so far has been non-fungible tokens (NFTs). The most popular place to trade WAX NFTs is AtomicHub, which boasts trading volumes in the 1 million WAX/day range. The Wax Cloud Wallet already makes it easy for anyone to purchase WAX with Ethereum and start trading NFTs on AtomicHub. The Binance listing creates new mechanisms to purchase WAX, which may lead to an even more rapid expansion of WAX digital collectibles markets.

This is exciting for a number of reasons. Commodity digital assets, such as trading cards and in-game items, are being minted and exchanged on WAX by the millions. Although Ethereum has so far cornered the market on fine art NFTs, the nascent influx of interest (and capital) into WAX may begin to challenge Ethereum's dominance in this arena. Since the cost of minting NFTs on WAX is negligible compared with the cost of minting NFTs on Ethereum, the fine art NFT market may become more accessible to creators as WAX increases in popularity. And because the cost of transferring WAX is nothing compared with the cost of Ethereum's unpredictable fees, trading these fine art assets in the WAX marketplace may prove more affordable for average users.

The Binance listing moves WAX closer to mainstream adoption. Given the accessibility of WAX services like the Cloud Wallet and AtomicHub, this mainstream adoption could happen very quickly. There may be savvy investors out there ready to jump in at the first sign that this happening. This could move the price in big, unexpected ways.

Ready for Prime Time

Many crypto tokens are still in a phase of growth that puts their primary usefulness somewhere in the future. Not WAX. WAX is ready for prime time. It's already being used by countless people every day for trading digital assets. It makes perfect sense that a top exchange like Binance would list WAX.

While WAX has long been tradable on other major exchanges like Bittrex, the Binance listing opens up a whole new market for this token. This listing also represents a win for the EOSIO ecosystem, which has been growing by leaps and bounds lately. While the token price movements resulting from this listing may produce great excitement in the moment, the long term value of WAX and the digital assets it supports will become increasingly evident as time goes on. In a couple of years, WAX may be as popular any mobile phone game is today.

Who’s behind the collection?

Nick (just Nick. He’s a pretty private person) has been interested in art for a long time. A frequent museum visitor, he created art as a hobby but never thought it could lead to a career. He attended college to study computer science but didn’t graduate because he felt that formal academia wasn’t a good fit for him. Nick became interested in cryptocurrencies around 2015 and has been following crypto news on and off since then. While he was looking into some altcoins, he came across NFTs. Something clicked. Nick found something that could blend together his passion for both art and tech, which led him to start preparing his first token collection.

Why the scary creatures?

Nick remembers growing up watching Scooby Doo and has always loved horror movies. He remembers thinking as a kid that there weren’t enough horror-themed action figures in the toy market and started dreaming of someday being able to create his own action figure sets. After discovering NFTs, and being inspired by the Eth-Men collection, he realized he finally had a chance to make his dream come true.

The Collection

Nick and the rest of his team enjoy exploring legends and lore from all over the world and you can tell by the first creatures featured in the debut “Action Figure” series. Among others, this series features the Wendigo from Native American folklore, the Chupacabras from Latin American lore, and the Gill-Man, inspired by the 1954 US science fiction/horror film Creature from the Black Lagoon. All cards in this series look great and appropriately terrifying, with modern takes on these creatures, displayed in a manner reminiscent of action figure packages, complete with age-appropriateness disclaimers. Besides the Action Figure series, ChainCreatures also includes the recently added photo series, which is meant to give people a chance to feel the experience of exploring a dark, creepy forest and discover creatures in the photos. When you open a pack of photos and stumble upon a creature pic, you really feel like you just discovered the creature among some random forest pictures you took while on a trip. The team is also currently working on a series inspired by traditional trading cards and future packs will also include blending to boost interactivity.

Nick and his team also like to listen to their collectors to find out what they want to see and are always willing to explore new options and ideas. So, if you start collecting and have some ideas, be sure to let them know!

Crypto is growing so fast right now

The instantaneous reward that DeFi (decentralized finance) provides is driving billions of dollars into the cryptocurrency market. Every day, smart money realizes millions in passive income through DeFi, with no financial intermediary. The total value locked into these protocols is well into the billions!

NFTs (non-fungible tokens) are at the heels of DeFi as the next big eCommerce opportunity. With low fees, the Wax blockchain has enabled a revolutionary value opportunity. Like any cryptocurrency project, R-Planet requires research before investing, or playing. There are pros and cons, and the price of aether needs to remain stable for an “investment” to be worthwhile.  A stable aether price requires constantly innovating ways to incentivize the destruction of aether. At any time, “megawhales” earning millions of aether per hour could decide to sell their rig and element collections, and a better game (one with a snappy GUI) could come along and blow R-Planet out of the water.

The future is here!

The intersection of decentralized finance and NFTs may have seemed inevitable, but it’s actually a successful version of something long-theorized. This is an application of cryptocurrency that we will see iterated time and again throughout our new digitally native value system.

The versatility of the protocols that creatives have on hand is leading to tangible rewards for early supporters and collectors that have created communities around WAX blockchain NFT projects. R-Planet has led the charge in creating new value for NFTs, but they have shown that the potential rewards for innovation are almost limitless.

The team behind the game, WeCan, has shown their ability to successfully create market-economy games with their Prospector’s game, and their inclusivity of other projects has led me to believe that they will continue to draw in a community of players, but as the minimum investment to play has risen to hundreds or even thousands of dollars, it may not make sense for the average person to start playing R-Planet today.

That barrier to entry, as well as the huge reward for the earliest players, will likely need to be improved upon for those looking to create new NFT staking systems. In the meantime, the hourly staking rewards are an exciting way to be constantly rewarded for early participation in the WAX blockchain space.

Lars Kommienezuspadt is a US-born artist who dreams of a career in comic books. While he didn’t really care much for photography as an art form at first, he started taking portraits and other photos while accompanying a friend who filmed documentaries. Since those films were shot with a simple camera and no artificial lighting rigs, that’s how he would shoot too. Fast forward some years and Lars was doing portrait and pinup photography using only diegetic lighting. That means that the light in his pictures is all coming from a window or from a lamp or light bulb in the scene itself. No flashes, strobes, light rings or any other source of light.

The result is pinup photography not quite any other you’ve seen before. It’s darker, more brooding and with a more cinematic ambiance. Lars Kommienezuspadt is considered the founder of Dark Pinup photography. He published his first book, aptly called “Dark Pinup” in 2018 (available from Working Class Publishing).

Now Lars is joining other artists by venturing into NFTs. His Dark Pinup NFT collection was launched on WAX just a few weeks ago. Each piece is stunning, featuring beautiful models photographed with his signature dark style and diegetic lighting. It’s a style that is sure to be picked up by other photographers soon and original pieces that are verifiably created and digitally signed by the style’s creator could become quite valuable.

Dark Pinup was the first NFT collection launched using FACINGS technology. FACINGS has allowed Dark Pinup to bring a few new things to the NFT table. What is an NFT?

NFT stands for Non-Fungible Tokens. These tokens are built and run on blockchains, just like the more traditional cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin or Ether. But there’s one key difference. One Ether is really no different from another one. But NFTs are designed to be unique. They don’t really work like coins, but instead as digital pieces of art. An NFT can be almost anything: a photograph, a drawing, a video clip or any kind of electronic media. But each NFT is signed by its creator and the blockchain holds the records of each token’s creator and owner. Thanks to the blockchain’s security, these artworks can’t be forged, copied or stolen. And because they’re not stored on any particular server, they are protected from crashes or other technical problems and will always be available. Finally, just like any other piece of art, NFTs can be sold or auctioned.

NFTs are quickly taking the crypto world by storm and have even started spilling over to the real world, with NFT museums popping up in several locations. Not all projects are easily investigated. The best tend to have a websites link on their Collection’s page. Telegram seems to be the preferred NFT medium. For good reason too. A lot of questions need answering. No two projects are the same and dynamics can seem foreign from one project to the next, even on the same chain.

A FEW TIPS FOR THOSE NEW TO THE NFT SPACE

Experienced NFTers look for key metrics to determine the short- and long-term viability of a particular project. For the noob, navigating the market can be greatly eased by identifying things like supply limits and features across rarities. For example, promotional campaigns which may be discontinued or depreciated tend to begin with an exceedingly high supply. Another tip, keep an eye on the ‘mintable’ max numbers and alterations that a creator maintains the liberty to change at some future date.

Investing in innovative markets should always be engaged with caution. 

MARKET INFLUENCES

WAX projects greatly outnumber those on EOS. Atomic Hub did start out as a WAX project after all. EOS is not so much late to the NFT party as it’s laying the groundwork for a sustainable ecosystem.

From a new resource model, to strengthening the community via EdenOS/ClarionOS, EOS is taxiing enroute for takeoff. In accord with EdenOS, consider a few words about potentially centralizing market influencers.

Plans during the early stages of an NFT marketplace should be keen on encouraging decentralization. A few projects have hit the ground running. While outstanding, the community should be aware of any potential for centralization.

About The Wecan Group and Uplift

Markets require diverse participation to be healthy. The strong influence of the Wecan group should be noted in respect to its family of projects running on the WAX and EOS blockchains.

Similarly, Upland developed a gaming dynamic that may one day rock the NFT space. Among the top game for weeks now, Upland may soon shift (pun intended [see CryptoFinney]) from mere participant to the type of influence that Wecan’s R-Planet has within the WAX NFT marketplace. Uplift is another project gaining a lot of momentum.

A deeper dive into these networks is advised at some point. For now, the EOS ecosystem should feel blessed to garner such strong attention with boundless potential.

There was a time when EOS couldn’t be discussed without mentioning Voice. Seems short-lived, but Voice CEO Salah Zalatimo reassures us that Voice 2.0 will be far grander. Voice will run on and mint NFTs at it’s core. Seamlessly minting NFTs while simultaneously engaging in social media would indeed be a game changer. Given Voice’s committed to launching this Summer, the community should know for sure very soon. Native tokens that interact with EOS remain integral to its plan.

Throughout history, humans have been obsessed with Mars. The imaginary inhabitants of the red planet have captured our imagination for ages. A Trip to Mars (1910) was one of the first Mars mission movies. A professor discovered two strange powders and created a form of anti-gravity product in the movie. While making the powder demonstration, some amount spilled on his body accidentally and sent him on a trip to Mars. Adventure to the mysterious planet has been a favourite theme for the game developers too. R-Planet, a newly launched Mars colonization game, has come up with an innovative format.

The growing popularity of cryptocurrency has pushed blockchain into the mainstream. The NFT (non-fungible token) market is a billion-dollar industry now, and it has caught the attention of artists and collectors worldwide. Blockchain games also have found enthusiastic participation among gamers. These games are using some aspects of cryptographic blockchain technology. The in-game assets are the NFTs that can trade on the open market in a permissionless manner. Thanks to blockchain technology, in-game digital ownership has now become a reality.

R-Planet is a browser game that runs on the WAX blockchain and leverages NFTs to mine AETHER, the game’s native token. R-Planet has propelled its way to the top of the NFT sales volume leaderboard by taking a community-driven approach and outpacing commercial brands like the NBA Top Shot and Ethereum phenom CryptoPunks.

R-Planet allows you to stake your unused NFTs and take part in a lot of activities. NFT staking gives you passive income in AETHER, the in-game currency. The game is ranked number three in the game category of DappRadar and the user base has grown exponentially since February 2021. R-Planet claims to be the first multi-project NFT DeFi system. The game is a bit similar to Little Alchemy, but blockchain technology takes it to new heights. 

Four basic elements are needed to play the game - wind, earth, fire, and water. You need to combine the four elements in the generator to create something new. The new item can be used for further exploration. If you become the inventor of a new element, you get attractive prizes. There are 36 different types of NFT cards in the game, and these cards help improve mining efficiency. There are three phases of the game – Evacuation, Colonization, and Conquest.

R-Planet staking page shows staking options for many popular WAX NFTs – Alien Worlds, Tribal Books, Bitcoin Origins, KOLOBOK, Kogs, etc., and obviously the native NFTs of R-Planet. Different NFTs have different yield mining weights. If you don’t have the listed NFTs, you can purchase them on AtomicHub. To mine AETHER very actively, some mining tools are needed (not compulsory). R-Planet's official market on Atomic Hub enlists many such tools. The NFT mining rigs are selling like hotcakes there. These cards act as highly efficient tools for mining AETHER in the game. 

Alien Worlds created a hoopla with its land sales sometimes back. R-Planet lands are also selling at a high price now. The in-game currency AETHER can be traded on ALCOR Exchange. AETHER is a base pair for trading many tokens on ALCOR and TLM / AETHER is really on fire.

R-Planet is getting rave reviews from users all over the world. The players are collaborating with each other to make new elements for making their mission successful. The ‘Conquest’ phase will deliver hostile enemies and the players want to prepare a rock-solid game strategy in advance. The active user base is helping R-Planet to market the game efficiently. The blockchain natives always love to form tribes and community building has been a key driving force of blockchain technology. R-planet is offering DeFi, NFTs, suspense, story, and a bit of probability – the mix is really catchy. The success of Alien Worlds has brought a lot of new users to the Wax blockchain and R-Planet is gearing up to reap the benefits.

Non-fungible tokens (NFTs) are trending. As a painter, I've been encouraged by several people in the crypto community to turn my art into NFTs. But whenever I looked into the nuts and bolts of how to do this, I was put off by the cost, complexity, or both. Eventually I overcame my misgivings and used Rarible to put a picture of a section of one of my paintings on the Ethereum blockchain, which cost about five bucks.

Creating an NFT on Rarible was extremely simple. I just connected my MetaMask wallet to the site, uploaded the image I wanted to use, came up with a description, selected ten copies, set the commission at ten percent, and clicked 'create item'. In under five minutes, I had a limited run of ten digital prints of my work complete and ready for sale.

The final listing looked great. By using a picture of just a small section of one of my larger paintings -- the foot of a reclining figure -- I hoped to offer any prospective buyers the chance to own a unique perspective on my work. Realistically, however, my NFT will probably never sell, because it's unlikely to ever be seen by a potential buyer amidst everything else in Rarible's marketplace.

AtomicHub

AtomicAssets is an NFT standard for EOSIO blockchain tech. AtomicHub is an interface for interacting with AtomicAssets. Whereas Rarible uses the MetaMask wallet for payments and signing transactions, AtomicHub connects with EOS or WAX wallets. I set up a WAX Cloud Wallet and used it to connect with AtomicHub.

Creating a new NFT on AtomicHub was more complex than using Rarible was. But with a nice collection of historical portraits that I'd like to make into a set of unique NFTs on AtomicHub, navigating this complexity seemed worth it. Diving right in, I had to first create a 'collection' into which the new NFTs would be placed.

After uploading a cover image, I set the market fee at 5% and wrote a brief description for the collection. After approving the transaction with my WAX wallet, the collection was created. But before creating an asset to put into this collection, I had to create a 'schema' to store the structure of the data contained in the assets.

The schema I came up with is simple, containing only fields for name, image, and description attributes. Again, completing the schema required approval from the wallet. It is possible to add additional schema attributes later, and I might end up doing that. After the schema was created, it was finally time to mint a test NFT.

As you can see, I minted 'Oil Portrait of Emma Goldman' and didn't use a template. Minting 10 copies of this NFT required more RAM than I had, so I had to buy more RAM from within AtomicHub to proceed. After looking over the result, I may decide to burn these assets and start again with a template.

The Verdict

Ethereum is slow and expensive whereas WAX is fast and affordable like all things EOSIO. AtomicHub is much more complex than Rarible. But its marketplace appears to be far superior. The learning curve on AtomicHub is undeniably steep. Fortunately, the basics all make perfect sense, and gaining access to one of the world's premier NFT marketplaces is a good motivator.

Before undertaking this exercise, I was on the fence about whether or not to try making serious NFTs from my art. Rarible didn't really get me excited about doing this. AtomicHub did. On AtomicHub, I can mint a series of portraits for a fraction of what it would cost on Ethereum. It'll take time to zero in on all the specifics I want this series to include, yet the fact that there are so many specifics to consider bodes well for AtomicHub.

Digital collectibles seem likely to become increasingly popular as time goes on. WAX and the AtomicAsset specification takes digital collectibles to the next level. Companies like Topps are already jumping on board. Whether you're a creator or collector, now's a great time to begin exploring the market emerging around these assets.

Anyone who’s been following the rise of the Bitcoin, the development of the blockchain, and the growth in NFTs has been watching history in the making. When the world is regularly exchanging currency across digital wallets and tracking goods with tokens, we’ll be able to say that we were there at the beginning. We saw it coming. And we can remember how it all started.

Or maybe we won’t be able to remember how it all started because you don’t always notice big moments as you’re experiencing them. Sometimes, you don’t know even know that they’re big until the moment has passed and you look back.

Bitcoin Origins is commemorating those moments. They might be moments you remember. They might be moments you’ve forgotten. They might be moments you missed but wished you hadn’t. And they might be moments you didn’t even notice but only with hindsight can you see that they were really significant.

In the first series, Bitcoin Origins is releasing artistic renditions of five historical moments, together with three special inserts, and a bunch of hidden secrets for true Bitcoin believers.

The first of those historical moments was the creation of the White Paper. Moment two was the Genesis Block. The cards for both those moments, numbering just a few thousand, sold out quickly. Prices in the secondary market have rocketed. Cards that sold initially for less than 1,500 WAX (a cryptocurrency similar to Bitcoin) are now changing hands for around 20,000 WAX.

The popularity of those cards is likely to be repeated as the third moment approaches. This marks not the famous pizza purchase or the collapse of Mount Gox but a moment that passed with less comment but was much more significant. The third moment of Bitcoin Origins is the first transaction, when Satoshi sent 10 BTC to Hal Finney. “This really laid the groundwork for everything that came thereafter,” says creator and CoinGenius CEO Jeremy Born. “It proved that it could work and that Bitcoin could actually be sent from one individual to another.”

Those first three moments are historic. And unless you were there right at the beginning, you probably missed them. But in releasing these moments, Jeremy himself is creating a new one. He compares the current state of NFTs to the Bitcoin in 2011.

“We’re so early that we have the unique opportunity to define the future of what the space becomes,” he says. As buying and storing NFTs becomes easier, as people are able to pick up and hold cards without having to think about the underlying technology, so NFTs will become mainstream.

That’s already happening. By enabling NBA fans to simply buy digital collectibles with their credit cards, Dapper Labs was able to bring people into the industry who might never have even heard about wallets and blockchains. It enabled them to make sales worth $10 million.

As Bitcoin Origins’ third moment prepares for launch, you might well look back and recognize that this too is a moment worth commemorating.
