Crazy how quickly R-Planet went from being almost nothing in early March to the spot you "have" to get your collection on to now. Even you - trying to figure out when you'll get Finney staking!

Let's see if phase 2 takes it up a notch. It's actually possible imo.

With the rise of R-Planet and nft-fi, there's a very interesting question at hand. Value to this game has seemingly been driven by the scarcity of mining power and land ownership. At current levels, it's near impossible for a newbie to join without making a significant capital injection which may or may not be profitable in the long run. How can we make this game, and other successors accessible for new players while maintaining the scarcity that has allowed it to be profitable for early adopters? Will keeping resources scarce have a negative long-term impact if new players are not motivated to join due to high barriers to entry costs? Will games like this only be profitable for whales and early adopters? I'm interested to see how the nft-fi space continues to develop to determine where a happy medium lies and if longevity is feasible. Thanks for the article!

NFT-FI. HA, amazing. You might have coined a term !

I do think it's unfortunate that R-Planet has a several hundred or thousand dollar cost of entry. It's difficult to design something that doesn't intrinsically reward early adopters. What's fascinating about r-planet is how much profits the whales tend to stick back into the game! - sometimes thousands and thousands of dollars a day.

It seems to me that Aether will always have some value, but this could have been a bubble as Aether becomes more and more plentiful as time goes on.

It’s a relatively new term but but it’s not completely new. It is being thrown around more frequently now. Onessus is trying to come up with a better name for what they are doing; just had an article on medium yesterday about it. Also there is nftfi.com which is what Onessus seems to be doing as well.

With the massive FOMO setting in on R-Planet it quickly became very hard for newbies to get into, their land and pack sales have been really disappointing, nearly impossible to get through the TX sign and then look on marketplace to see the same pack 20x sale price instantly...

I love R-Planet but I don't think I can invest much more with all the other amazing projects popping up. (not waxatory)

I'm hoping Colonise Mars can make a big splash in the same way through staking. Their game could potentially be better than R-Planet and I feel like I want to go in heavier than I already have.

DeFi + NFTs + Blockchain Gaming, what a beautiful formula. This is definitely a space to keep a close eye on.

I'm following Colonize Mars and Metal Wars. Which one will be the next R Planet?

I starting moving my investments toward Rplanet assets two months ago and I feel like I was late. This game and future games like it will help some of us never go back to work!

A very comprehensive article. You touch on every mark of the game. RPlanet changed the landscape of WAX. More and more projects are implementing De-Fi functionality into their platform. ONESSUS with HODL GODS and Elementalnft, wWAXarena.io. RPlanet paved the way, never forget it.

r planet is doing a really successful job.

they need to find a way to engage new users in more games

because if it continues like this, only whales will continue to swell more.

I'm gonna be part of this next wave. 🙏🏽 r planet was an eye opener for me over the past few months. there are so many possibilities in the future of crypto and nfts, i totally agree that you can't wait too long to get into it. for me its just been all about managing risk and having enough money set aside to live off of in the meantime.

The explosion of R-Planet has been rapid and exciting, and when I was on the first whitelist to buy a piece of land I had no idea about the extent to which this game would grow. If I'd known what was to come, I would've played the game differently, but this was one of my first ventures into the crypto world, and what an adventure its been. Many are now looking for the next R-Planet to get in to early and experience the same, but there is still a strong R-Planet community and a visionary team of devs, and so I would hope that there will be enough new players coming over to Wax to sustain a whole range of games and NFT staking opportunities.

My only regret so far with R-Planet was not jumping all in sooner. Or maybe it’s generating all those crappy commons I have! Where is my mythic! … lol
