Great article reminding us to do your own homework (DYOR) before investing. Crypto is not a get rich quick scheme.

However, sometimes the emotion of FOMO is more powerful than love or hate.

Well done to everyone who didn’t get rekkt with this pump n dump. You can now revel in JOMO, joy of missing out.

Unfortunately, people are easily fooled. There is no doubt that they are investing without research or doing the same moves that a famous person would make in leveraged trading and the end result is to blame crypto or btc when they lose money. it's not btcn's fault it's your fault

I learned manipulation with Xrp. He kept falling and rising with the news. I've gained significant experience. I'm not getting into any pump coins anymore. No matter what happens.

I don't buy a coin if it suddenly pops up with a news story. I tell myself the train's gone.

I wanted to buy a Lite coin. I was thinking for a week. I was doing an analysis. I told my friend. I want to get LTC. Then my friend texted me. LTC made a big deal, he said. Do you have? I'm sorry I didn't get it, to be honest. But then when I saw what happened, I was glad I didn't get it.

I don't think this is a mistake or a misunderstanding. I think they're trying to show people how insecure crypto is. But crypto will prove otherwise. It proves it.

Thanks for the nice post. A beautiful evaluation. Important information....

"Don't Trust, Verify". Excellent. No one should act without investigation. E

specially when the crypto exchange is so manipulative, it should not be traded just by seeing a post. It can bring big profits and big losses.

The best way to protect ourselves is to investigate. It's not someone else's research, it's your own research.

This incident was very sad and so reassuring. Even the people who shared it didn't pay attention. It looks like this will last for a while . I hope we don't see more false news like this.

Thanks for the article.

Have a nice day.

oh this is interesting

I missed this news and everything that happened.

because I've only been interested in nfts for a long time.

pump and dump I've heard and seen many people get hurt because of this.

especially if you are in the crypto markets, you need to be much more careful.

There are two great lessons to be learned in the article above.

And our author explained it wonderfully.

look and invest long term

If you are trying to get rich all of a sudden, you must be willing to lose everything at once.

I didn't even know that such news existed... But all I know is not to trust anyone else's word. Considering and trusting are two different things. If it is worth researching, we should do research, confirm and act accordingly.

Both rules you said are absolutely correct. Too much infollution on the internet. Unfortunately, there are people who blindly trust all of this, and Walmart news is the closest example.

I never find it right to participate in camel trains based on instant rises, just like this one.

Thanks for the article, again you explained the facts in a short and concise manner.

Yesterday I was watching the whole situation from beginning to the end. The first thing I did was asking why Litecoin? Then I started searching official accounts of Walmart and there was no single entry about the situation, meanwhile Litecoin hit 240$. 15 mins later they made a counter statement that the announcement was fake, therefore we hit the floor in couple of minutes.

Sorry but not sorry for the people who bought it around 230-240$, they faced the consequences of their acts by trying to make easy money out of suspicious news.

I completely agree on two of the rules you mentioned, but I think second rule is a bit flexible because after Walmart announcing the fake news we had plenty of discounted coins in the market, which turned the situation advantegous for the people who didn't involve in fake news pump.

Do I like this feature of crypto? I think I'm neutral on this as I'm hodling most of my stuff and trying to look from a broader perspective. - Thank you for the article, it was enjoyable.

All the people who aped into LTC following these "news" probably hold DOGE

Very good reminder for everyone. One strategy I use is just like gambling, keep a small percentage of funds for crazy stuff, and then everything else for more sound decisions. That way you don't get wrapped up in the FOMO. But thankfully I missed the walmart hype....
