I am an idealist, and judging by your article you are too. I do believe that decentralized currencies have the potential to solve a problem for humanity. There are millions of unbanked all over the world. However there has yet to be a crypto that truly (and I mean truly) solves the trilema of scalability, decentralization, and security.

Do you truly believe that Bitcoin has made the world a better place? How about cryptocurrency in general?

In the West, it's hard to realize what Bitcoin is bringing to the world.

If you go to emerging countries where hyperinflation is rampant and corrupt leaders don't hesitate to censor their citizens, you'll understand why Bitcoin is changing the lives of millions of people right now.

Bitcoin needs to be produced in more environmentally friendly ways.

we must accept this.

it will make it more valuable

and will be subject to less criticism

It's a necessity, we can't ignore it.

It is unacceptable for us to harm our nature.

we have to solve this

You always have to ask the right questions. Bitcoin is not environmentally neutral. This is an area where things need to progress.

Nevertheless, Bitcoin solves critical problems for humanity. Rather than banning it and depriving ourselves of it, we should seek to make progress by being constructive.

Well, it’s true that Bitcoin is not good for the environment, but a lot of people is working to change that !

So in a near future that argument it’s going to be obsolete.

We need to focus on solutions to make things better. Steam trains were not good for the environment either. Were they banned? No, solutions have been put in place to improve things.

We must not stop progress but accompany it.

Bitcoin is a constant work in progress, all these issues will be addressed eventually. I believe these attacks should be countered by the bitcoin community to educate the general public.

This is indeed the job we have to do as Bitcoiners. To help the general public sort out the real from the fake.

The false being constantly preached by the powerful who feel threatened by the rise of Bitcoin.

I live in France, and it is funny to see that ministers do not hesitate to say that Bitcoin is only used for illegal activities and that it is dangerous, before defining a precise framework for the taxation of capital gains on Bitcoin.

They also do not hesitate to organize auctions of BTC seized for illegal activities.

If Bitcoin was as dangerous as they claim, why tax it? Why auction it off and put the citizens who buy it at risk?

These leaders have no credibility.

Those who say that they are environmentalist and they are really worried if Bitcoin mining continuously done then that can harm the environment

In my thinking majority of them are not any environmentalist but people's who left the chance to invest in Bitcoin and they feel jealous

We are humans and if we find someone having something better than us then we will get jealous from him/her easily (Human Nature) ;)

And i also know that Bitcoin Really affect the Environment and the Community is trying to solve that problem too and in the coming years we can see it getting reduce rapidly

If you are really thinking to invest in BTC

Just go don't go for the FUD

Just believe and HODL

I can't say it again. I wrote a really long comment that fits well with this on another post... Basically, nothing is perfect on first iteration. Things only get better. Sometimes improvements fail, but we learn from them and we move forward. People are scared, mainly those in charge. They'll have to adapt eventually.
