Networking between exchanges really sounds great. When I saw the exchanges and blockchains in the photo, I realized that it is a project with big goals, I hope you reach your goal.
Agreed, even with IBC it is still a little confusing. Hopefully once Emeris is out of beta we will see a quality hub with a quality interface for bridging. At the moment as long as you have a Keplr wallet all tokens can be sent there and from there everything can be moved from chain to chain without any more than a click and approval (plus a physical approval for those with Ledger connected). Still a little finicky but easier than sending coins from exchange to cold storage actually but not a complete noob task either

Bridging can be confusing, I hope IBC makes it seamless to move tokens between blockchains.
