Bitcoin began 2021 on a high note, reaching a new all-time high of around $63,000 and experiencing levels of institutional support never before seen. In many ways, 2021 was shaping up to be the year of bitcoin, with more places accepting it as a medium of exchange than ever before and more people entering the market.
Altcoins will remain and compete in the market like the season fruit's there will be a time when we will see altcoins just going down and down and some altcoins just vanish.
Yesterday i saw a article that Muskmelon(Someone Who Believes he is the god of Crypto Market) agrees on Vital Buterin ( Co-founder of Ethereum) About Dogecoin Major Update and for serious I don't like that Coin and i am never Holding that too
For Example
There are many animals in a forest and maybe many thinks that they can defeat the Lion But it's not possible defeating The King So easily probability of Winning over lion maybe like 0.1%
Same it is in Btc market which is the king of the Crypto Market and Can't be defeated easily and that too from a altcoins.
It will be very interesting to see this fight off that what is the future and i believe 99% that it's Bitcoin and altcoins will just vanish away an one time craze will go off for sure.

I don't like the term altcoins but I am not sure I've heard a better term for them. I also think that cryptocurrencies in general perform better when bitcoin is doing well as it drives positive speculation and hype for everything related. I think the next major altcoin season will be sparked by ETH 2.0. If another coin can seriously compete with the price of bitcoin, then it means that others could do the same as well sparking massive hope and positive speculation for all other coins.
It is difficult to think that a single currency has the baton to lead a market, but it must be seen that alt coins always go hand in hand with the movement of bitcoin
There are some alt coins with a good project behind them, others that were born without much to hold on
What we have to think about, is which one is the jewel? Buy and hold....
I agree that you can have many coins for less than 100 dollars rather than a fraction of bitcoin. Altcoins are here to stay maybe 5 to 10 years one of those coins will be more or equal to bitcoin (wishing). These coins that not only hype for known people or business magnates but there are altcoins that have use cases especially for banks transaction, money transfer, and the great thing is it can be used in purchasing NFT. (Don't get me wrong but you can convert bitcoin to altcoins but it will be wiser to directly buy an altcoin to avoid any high transaction fee in bitcoin)
Utility and transactions will determine the winners of altcoin season, the coin has to do something!
BTC could be the currency peg but alt rules ! So many great projects.

Looking at BTC dominance gobbling up all the alts gains over the past 4 months.
