If I didn’t know better, I would have to believe Monsieur Saurel was just plain daft writing such silliness. But, unfortunately, this is not the case. Instead, his agenda is quite clear and is on full display here. At last.

This is what underlies and informs the crypto-conspiracy cult: every policy one can find fault with, no matter its remoteness from the “Crypto Project” or its patent speciousness, is a nefarious undertaking related to any and all failed, wrong, or successful policies that are part of the (yes, imperfect) western liberal democratic order.

Never mind the vast malfeasance of autocratic, kleptocratic, authoritarian or totalitarian governments which suffer under the “current monetary and financial system, at the center of which is the U.S. dollar”. No, that is not the problem. These are just poor dictators, corrupt polticians and self-dealers trying to enjoy life.

Iraq was a terrible mistake in that one party in the U.S. pushed and lied and misled and manipulated its way to war. And, yes, Hillary mistakenly thought there was a way to direct the disaster called Libya toward some reasonable end. Tried to. And Qaddafi was easily one of the nuttiest of nutty dictators and certainly bloody to his own people.

And (an odd sentence to have to write) one can’t otherwise ignore the fact that Saddam Hussein was a poster child for almost every bad trait of a violent corrupt dictator that was bent on maintaining the power of a Sunni minority and operating a medium-sized ethnic cleansing operation. And keeping Uday and Qusay and the rest of the extended Sunni family living comfortably.

But, never mind that. Hillary voted for the lie and that’s what matters for Bitcoin and Crypto? One can’t say strange, however, to such preposterousness. One can, however, understand how the constituency of autocrats, authoritarians, kleptocrats and totalitarians see the project of undermining the economic basis of liberal democracy, human rights and financial fairness.

It is notable, too, that it was the Republican Party of the United States which pushed this. And it is notable that the Republican Party has now been taken over by a range of apologists for the Authoritarian/Kleptocratic/Totalitarian constituency. And the biggest promoters and early participants in the crypto-cult.

Democracy, human rights, and economic fairness are anathema to crypto. Mssr. Saurel is just another agent acting in the movement to undermine these and serve his exclusive financial interests. If he ever shows an interest in human rights, democracy and fair play for, say, Russians or Saudis or name-your-corrupt dictatorship, let’s pay attention. In the meantime, at least, he makes clear what side he is on so just ignore his nonsense.
