Reading your article has made me realise I’m also a crypto addict. Checking the prices of Crypto is the first thing I used to do when I switched on my phone in the morning and the last thing I did at night.

Now the first thing I do is check my email for offers on my NFT collection. By channelling my obsession into being part of the NFT community, I have now found my sense of purpose.

Your article totally hits home. My wife is currently glaring at me while I read this article while simultaneously watching Top Chef. My phone has been permanently attached my hand for the pat 4 months. I’ve never had so much fun learning in my life.

It’s so cool that we can now more about your story in crypto

And it’s even cooler that we can know how this great project pass trough to be what is it today !

I feel extremely related to this.

Less than six months ago I knew what crypto was (as almost all gen Zs) but I was not fully into what that actually was. I started hearing the words “crypto” and “NFTs” very often so I give it a chance, few weeks after we’re here and a lot of my day is around crypto and it’s amazing !

Keep going with this great community !!!

Wow. Thanks for sharing, because this really hits home when I think about my recent experiences with NFTs.

It all started when my friend said, “Hey, try NBA Topshots, all the cool kids are doing it!” I got my first hit of NFTs when I pulled a LeBron no-look 3 from a pack...ever since then, I’ve been hooked.

I went from Topshots to WAX, where I found a whole new high. I can not only buy NFTs but also create them?! This was a whole new beast, and WAX really took my NFT addiction to the next level. After flipping, creating, and selling NFTs, I started to stash some WAX. A new question arose...should I keep my assets in WAX or move it to BTC, ETH, DOGE (lol), or something else?

Aaaaand that’s how I got into crypto. Now, I check WAXP price multiple times a day. I consume William Quigley interviews like they’re crack. I am part of countless Discords and Telegrams, and I run my own Discord server as part of my NFT project.

Am I happy that I found a new hobby and interest that can be profitable? Yes! However, the addiction that comes with it also drags me down. The worst part of it all is that none of my friends/family can understand, since they barely know what a blockchain is.

"I came to the realization I would have arrived at a similar result, smoking joints, eating pizza, and playing video games 12 hours a day over the same time period."

This was my life before my obsession for crypto/NFT's became a reality.

The 2 big pumps in TopShot were the most insane times in my life. I could like something 10-20 from the cheapest of the same moment on the marketplace hit refresh and have 1k sitting in my account ready for the next flip. I was selling 5-10k overnight most nights. Days I bought 2x rookie Zions for 2.5k each, the next day was LeBron 6k, It was wild. When that started to tank and die down I felt kinda lost in this space as to figure where to go next.

1 day scrolling through my Twitter the CryptoWriter membership card appeared out of nowhere and my god it looked so beautiful. This was it, this was the next step in my journey. Sean immediately gave me a super warm welcome to the group. I'd never been a part of a community where the founders greeted you and openly discussed their vision all while throwing some banter around. Within 2 days I had proven my worth to the guys and was told I would be awarded in the next membership card drop.

Since then I haven't gone a day without checking in and seeing how the community is doing today, playing games for Finney coins, making fun of NFTJoe, or just helping people who ask. Every other group out of the 30 odd on my telegram I open to click the down arrow and clear notifications for momentarily... but not crypto writer, this community is home to me.

TL/DR

weed/video games < crypto writer community

I can relate to this. It's 3:47am here and I have work in just over 4 hours. I haven't slept and will probably just power through the day now as it's Friday. I'm looking through the Atomic market for NFT's while listening to a Youtube video about crypto. I should be in bed but I'm not. But I don't care, my daughter has grown up and quite honestly I'm not hurting anyone. I'm fascinated with this at the moment and I want to learn more. Shoot me...or bring me a coffee.

A very thoughtful article ! I have been into cryptos, since the past couple of years only in form of investing & stuff, but was never addicted until Nfts & Wax happened & then Upliftworld,Cryptowriter & Cryptofinney followed. I have a sort of role reversal where I am constantly into this space & my Hubby is the one who keeps getting annoyed with me as I am thinking, breathing & talking about cryptos

& NFTs all the time. Also, I am trying to get him into cryptos but as of now this seems like a distant dream! Positively balancing family, work & cryptocurrency is the next discernible step for me.

The wife complaining, the numero dos, the 30+ Telegram groups, all day non stop crypto... I check all the boxes, this rabbit hole goes deep and I fucking love it.

I'm on the path to find my crypto purpose and I'm loving every step of the way. Glad I found crypto writer and Finney on this journey.

Just got into crypto around the end of march and it got me hooked the minute I started it. Crypto gave me the excitement of doing something again but this time being able to earn money although it was a rough start, I then discovered play to earn game through Binance and since then i left day trading and started holding long term while I gain crypto through mining and playing. It's been a month since I started mining and it sure helped me discover NFT's which is crazily addictive, never thought I would buy something from the market just to keep it and support aspiring artists. idk man, i just can't stop buying nft maybe this is my way of giving back to the community since I earn free money out of it might as well feed my growing addiction and increase my collection

Sean,

I love that you write from honest experience. I think that there are so many of us right now struggling to navigate the crypto world, while simultaneously trying to figure out how to prioritize our family time...

Most of us get into crypto because we belive that there is a realistic opportunity here to change our lives financially, so that we can spend more time doing those things that truly matter, like being with family, etc. But what a lot of us find (especially when first starting out) is that now we have our regular 40hr jobs, plus our 20-40hr per week crypto/nft/FinneyCoin addiction, and the solution is adding to the problem.

The struggle is real, and I know that a lot of us relate more than we might want to admit!

Keep up the good fight!

Much Love,

CRAMN8R

Aloha This article was fantastic because of the Many truths that were pointed out. Sometimes we are so mesmerized by the opportunity in crypto that we cannot even see what's in front of our eyes like it doesn't exist. Our Physical bodies are here but our minds are consumed by crypto and all its innovations. Almost like a walking dead person in the physical world but alive and passionate within the digital world. Finding balance is very critical thank you 🤙🔥
