Thanks for sharing this very honest account of your experience in the NFT space. The truth is, no one knows which artists or platforms will be popular and which NFTs will stagnate. We're still early in this space so as long as you're prepared to HODL a while, the odds are that anything you invest in now will come good in the future. Its always good to remember rule no. 1, 'buy art you like and you can't lose.'

I am the same way and have no instinct in knowing good art. Finding a community of people who know what they are doing is excellent advice.

Good call. It pays to watch the nft space to see what talent is entering. It’s a great time to be here!

It's nice to have a person believe in themselves. Especially the fact that he made an effort not to disappoint himself. I think your steps are beautiful. I hope you will come your way. Have a nice day.

Confidence is very important in this market. If you don't trust yourself, you'll be influenced by other people.

Other people don't want you to make money. Is usually the case. I had friends who lied to me.

The more I saw it, the more I realized that we have to act with our own minds. So I think it's important to believe that you're the smartest.

I wish you success. It's a good adventure.

Very sensible decisions.

I wish most people had these judgments.

Knowing and managing oneself improves people in every field.

We all love NFTs and enjoy collecting. It feels good to notice some things early, act first and realize it later.

The people around us and our friends tell us what kind of person we are. While you are interested in art and NFT, it is a very logical move to surround yourself with art-trained people.

While interested in with a subject, meeting and chatting with people who are equipped with that subject increases our depth and knowledge on that subject.

As a designer who is directly involved with art, I enjoy chatting and reading articles about art and design. I like to refresh both my own knowledge and the knowledge of the other person and try to add new things to each other.

Information multiplies as it is shared.

Thanks for the article!

The issue with HEN going down due to its reliance on one developer's single computer for a critical component of its infrastructure points up, not only the immaturity of the space, but the lack of transparency on the part of many participants. Blockchain is invoked as if a relationship to a well known one is reason alone to trust in the safety and stability of a marketplace. It is not. Recording transactions in the ledger of a blockchain is only one of several critical functions of a marketplace and the developers of these businesses owe it to their stakeholders to be open and transparent about all the critical components. What functions are centralized and dependent on the business itself? What functions are dependent on 3rd party partners? Where are the files that represent the content of an NFT stored? How are the contents of connected wallets secured? How are creators protected against the failure or significant pivot of the marketplace as a business? How are collectors protected against the same? Only when developers focus less on get rich quick schemes and more on delivering solid value to their customers and stakeholders based on transparent architectures and business models will we exit the Wild West stage.

you are doing yourself an injustice.

I think you have great instincts about art.

We got to know many great artists because of you.

and we got some great works by these great artists.

I am grateful to you for that.

The best indicator of how smart you are is always in your effort to gather around you people who are smarter than you.

because the intelligent person is hungry for knowledge and seeks an environment where he can receive it.

ok this comment is not purely based on praising you.

but it didn't seem fair to me that you treated yourself unfairly.

Hey Joe!

Great article. I often get down on myself in this space as well being a very new NFT artist. I often times fell like I live in the shadows of some of these big time projects and can even dream of affording a fraction of what is on the market. However I also know how early we are to the space as well and how far we have to go. People say this a bubble and if that is even slightly true, which I don't think it is, the bubble hasn't even begun. We are still in the very early adaptor stage of this movement, I would know because I also pride myself on being ahead of the curve! What I have also found is how amazing and supportive the community is! I did not start as an NFT artist, I actually started in the space by doing giveaways. I started Easter weekend of this year giving away some Easter NFTs I had found on the WAX blockchain, which I had only just discovered that week. The giveaways that weekend were wildly successful and my twitter started blowing up literally overnight! After that I vowed to do an NFT giveaway every day on my twitter. That was only 5 months ago but in that short five months I have grown my twitter following to over 4,300 people from 0, I run a telegram group that just got approved for mining of a Cryptocurrency called DU$T and to top it all off I became a whitelisted NFT artist on Atomic Hub and launched my own NFT collection.

So if you ever feel like you are getting left behind in the space just take a step back and look at how far you have come. There are new people learning about NFTs and coming into the space everyday and that isnt going to slow down anytime soon. Things will only get more rapid and probably a little wacky at times but hey isnt that also why we go into this thing, to have fun?

My recommendation: keep doing what you are doing and enjoy the ride! 😎

Hi Joe, I just love your article. Ive been feeling like you since I got into crypto. I got into it in an attempt to get out of a bad financial situation. I havent managed that yet but have met a lot of people online who have been helping me get through a bad time without knowing... just by chatting and keeping my spirits up. And yeah I have made a little money along the way through tips from the community (if one does not count the losses I made through my own initial completely uninformed blunderings - the community had nothing to do with those). So I love crypto, I love the community and the whole writer team.

My journey is also very interested ,In the starting of sept 2020 I learn about nft but I don't buy nft at that time because of gas fee on opensea which is around 20 to 30 dollars, I also discovered atomichub through coingecko nft airdrop ,then I started collecting nft on wax with around 300 wax ,now I have 2500+ nft ,I enjoy collecting nft on wax platform than any other nft platform ,nft is now a new market which is growing with huge rate, common people have a fear to lose their money so most of them ignore nft and do normal cryptocurrency trading.

I find main good collection on wax like cryptowriters ,ultra horror, kogs etc

It is never late if you truly believe on it, and what you did is what I call smart. Two minds are almost certainly better than one, and that's what I do. Not only your opinion but opinions overall matter.

You have been introducing artists and their projects for a while, that is what you are doing better, and it is no shame that these artists are sharing their opinions with you.

Thanks for the effort.
