Summer 2021 has been in full swing, which naturally means a flood of people traveling from one location to another for vacations, fun activities being booked, and an overall sense of leisure. While this year's summer will be more complicated due to the COVID-19 pandemic and global vaccination efforts, many people are still hoping for some semblance of normalcy during this time.
I’ve never heard of AVA or travel tokens. If they are tied to a particular company or travel website, I don’t see how popular they will end up being. To me it sounds like loyalty points as I know each airline has their own loyalty points and programs. One thing I dislike is that those points are tied to specific airlines. but if they instead could give out travel tokens like AVA, then I could see it being a success.
It's funny that you talk about travel tokens and then Sean is talking about Finney 2.0. Putting Finney's around the world for people to go outside and hunt them. Bridging the Metaverse with the real world. I'm all for it!

Thank you for the article. It reminds me of how one airline started offering rewards through credit cards. Each airline had to follow suit, and though it may not be in each companies benefit, these rewards are an industry standard.
There must be a way for blockchain to not only improve the payment gateway or offer staking rewards. There are huge benefits for both; but with the creativity explosion of NFTs and alternative digital currencies, what is the next level of consumerism? The cyber age needs to take society to a new level, a step change in dynamic interaction and profitability for the benefit of all. With all of the change going on the world, May we all use our governance to go beyond the limitations of pre-COVID world.
I would love to hear the Cryptowriter communities thoughts or brainstorm on the infinite potential of this space. Imagine checking into a world with a digital passport, like a Facebook check in. Will El Salvador begin offering BTC rewards, for example, for travelers visiting their tourist destinations? What about a digital game that transcends reality like PokeGo for geocaching or QR coded treasure hunts for real world benefits? Could world traveling become an income stream?
The growth of blockchain and NFTs is a cultural and creative explosion. I hope we can take one aspect, travel tokens, to another world. Thank you Rony Ron for the article!
Crypto rewards for using crypto instead of fiat.....I can see the benefit of this. The only issue I see is the current price fluctuations with these tokens, but once prices are less volatile i can see the benefit of using them.
