I haven't decided how I feel this will impact EOS yet. It's unfortunate, but price of EOS (or any crypto) REALLY does impact the public perception of the success of the project. EOS, MATIC (Polygon), WAX etc... etc... etc... are all amazing projects with great things going for them, but due to their lower prices I feel they get viewed as a pump and dump asset to make a quick buck. This throws off the entire economy of any rewards system, messes with the feeling of safety in the "investment", and can really create a volatile ecosystem that both suffers and prospers in short burst windows. We're currently seeing a surge in all of these smaller assets which is amazing! But this is due to the stagnation of the big dogs Ethereum and Bitcoin. Once there is market movement, or ETH2, or the switch to Satoshis happens, everyone will dump the "alt-coins" and jump back on the bandwagon so as to not miss the fat gains. I'm excited for the ICP launch tomorrow on Coinbase Pro. If ICP does well, I think it will be a HUGE boom for all of the crypto/DeFi world that isn't Bitcoin or Ethereum. It will show that other projects CAN and SHOULD be taken seriously. Great read, and I am excited for the road ahead! Don't take my cynicism as not believing. I have full faith in a wide variety of the "alt-coins" out there, but I also watch that addicting little ticker go up and down far to often to be completely positive…
