Fortune favors the bold and I truly believe that EL Salvador will be recognized by history as being the first society to truly embrace the digital paradigm shift.

I believe the world bank is a consortium of countries that will eventually capitulate to Bitcoin, but not after fighting to have it removed from the face of the Earth.

Too bad they will lose.

Over the years, the crooked nature of the banking system has ruined our hard-earned money.

and the banking system is one of the biggest burdens on us and it is gaining in an undeserved way.

The numbers above are terrible.

The banking costs that El Salvadorans working far from their home country have to endure to send money to their families are unacceptable.

and there are hundreds of other exploitation mechanisms like this

wait, bitcoin is coming with great momentum and I'm sure it will save us.

We do not know whether Bukele is an oppressive dictator or a freedom fighter. Only the people of El Salvador know best.

But one thing I do know is that no one is what they seem.

When we target human rights and freedoms, we will find the right starting point for the solution of the problem.

thank you for the great article

This will be an interesting test and should truly be an important moment in Bitcoin and crypto history. However I question if it will succeed in El Salvador and if there maybe wasn’t a better crypto suited for acting as cash and payments. To me Bitcoin is more like gold while some other cryptos are more for quick and everyday payments/transactions.

It's gonna be interesting to see how companies like McDonald's manage Bitcoin adoption in El Salvador. This is hopefully gonna lead the way for mass adoption all around.

El Salvador is going to be the guinea pig of the world to see how well crypto works in a real life scenario. I’m glad all this is moving forward and every day growing to make our society a better place.

It seems to me that bitcoin is about to draw another line in the sand, and is about to step over it. If El Salvador manages to make bitcoin work within their country it will set a president, and it will be only a matter of time before other countries will follow suit.

I see President Nayib Bukele as a true innovator and a brave president that he passed the bill without hesitation and the majority of their government and countrymen agreed. I hope other countries will follow his steps but they are several factors that hinder a country to adopt Bitcoin like people mindset towards Bitcoin they think it still a kind of scam where it is not tangible they afraid there is no value on it, unlike fiat where they can feel, touch and of course use acceptable anywhere and another thing would be hard to follow the process or approach of how they adapt with the technologies on which it will not violate any law in their country. I do agree that “wait and see” is a very common nature for people who want to see success first. I hope before we see the progress of El Salvador we better ride this opportunity that we know that we are not the only believer of Bitcoin but there is a nation like them that has faith on which they passed a law for Bitcoin.

You could tell Jack Maller really cares. How long was he in El Salvador for? Like 3-4 months? I think it was supposed to be like a 5 day trip or something originally but he stayed out of pure passion to help those in need. I worry that El Salvador doesn't have the infrastructure capabilities in place to handle such a drastic switch, but the flag had to be planted somewhere first. The case study has been started.

These 3 months will be very interesting for Bitcoin short term. The news lately has been like a war zone. Perspectives & opinions flying everywhere and when it's all said and done there will be a draw, perfectly balanced.

Thanks for the insights - you've shed light on a number of questions I had about the adoption in El Salvador. The comparison with the UK and US legislative systems is startling, and its hard to fathom it being rolled out so quickly in either of those countries. Your point about multi-nationals having to get on board in El Salavador is intersting though, this gives us hope with those companies having to get up to speed quickly and hopefully implementing bitcoin transactions more widely.

Blockchain Technology is the future of payments and innovations. El Salvador is the first country to realise it. In future all countries will adopt bitcoin and its underlying technology.

Firstly im so happy for el salvador.

This is a big change. But this is not just special for El Salvador.

This is speacial for all of us. As you say İf mc donald accept crypto pay in El Salvador, mc donald can accept in ABD.

This is a big thing in this part i think.

This is start of changing.

We need more countryies for change. İ hope one day we say like this "Why that country not accept crypto pay. Every country use it."

Thanks for article.
