IT Data governance for your platform

In the context to build your platform and delivering BaaS (Blockchain as a Service) to your user base, you have to choose what is the best suited IT Data Governance for your platform.

Governance is not a concept only dedicated to a blockchain with the DAC paradigm (Decentralized Autonomous Corporation). This becomes a powerful tool needed when you are the owner of a technological platform delivering microservices, micro decentralized web services. You have to decide:

  • What DATA  has to be kept in your platform   (processes, transactions)

  • What DATA has to be externalized from your platform (processes, transactions)

IT Data Governance  has to be strategically aligned with what you are building (Value Delivery) and has to answer to the life-cycle management of a platform:

  • Resources (software, hardware, human)

  • Risk

  • Performance

IT Data Governance is dynamic, in perpetual change (agility) with your platform improvements (iterative).

Paramount: strategic vision at the early stages of the platform (why, how, what), milestones have not to be necessary with dates, because of the need of POC and feedback loop by the community, approval through the DAC Guardians (one of many benefits of a blockchain and decentralization of powers) if your value delivery is worldwide and that any member can enrich, contribute to the expansion of the network around the platform and services you are implementing.

EOSIO lightweight client architecture

Running a node is not a prerequisite for a platform that wants to interact with the EOSIO Blockchains Ecosystem.

You are already able to interact through :

  • Remote Procedure Calls (RPC)

  • APIs like dFuse or Hyperion

  • dAppNetwork Middleware

There are Initiatives led by the dAppNetwork and dAppLabswith so called “EdgeOS” in order to set permanent/on-demand data bridges with a lightweight node to exchange data directly from your browser.

Interview Tal Muskal CTO of & DappNetwork

  • Your own node from your browser with IPFS/IPNS (WebRtc)

  • Decentralize the hardware infrastructure layer of your solution by letting execute and fuel the process to run into the EdgeOS by sending GAS (DAPP Token)

EdgEOS is implementing a Kernel (a core component of an operating system) POSIX and WASI compatible

Become your Decentralized Application Platform

There is a new way to tokenize and monetize your software in a decentralized way.

This is through the approach of Micro Liquid Decentralized Web Services (MLDWEB).

And this is possible by using on top of EOS Mainnet (EOSIO based chain).

Interview Eyal Hertzog - Product Manager dWeb

  • Your  platform can interact with through the smart contract of an operator (such as EOS Nation)

  • You can also point your own domain on using message boards

All combinations are possible, you have to make sure that the IT Data Governance is insured on your platform.

Decentralized storage of your resources with IPFS

Certifying your content as NFT

NFTs can also maintain verifiable copyrights to content creators, including signatures.  It is easy to verify you have the real deal, whether there is only one copy or a million out there.

NFTs are very important in the economical market. Because this is the final on-chain verifiable and proven certification of an asset provenance(traceability).  That saves the owner's intent.

Generally, the process is:

1. to timestamp transactions on EOS/WAX

2. to store the visual representation of the NFT on IPFS(because decentralized), be careful with the IPFS pining service.

For example, WordProof is adding their timestamping certificate as NFT, doing so, asset owners (merchants) can prove on-chain their rights and reduce paper and facilitate the law process.

Another example is to link NFTs with virtual worlds (Upland, Minecraft, Cryptovoxcels) or social networks (Voice in progress with Cryptowriter) to maximize the onboarding and gamification. Or to maximize social engagement with your community.

In one word, NFTs are the modelization of the transactions.

EOS and WAX are the number one blockchains 3.0 on this NFT market.
