Whoa. We're talking about R-Planet now? What would happen if the Finney and Rplanet worlds combined? To quote a great thinker (cuanheato): "Wen Finney staking?"

When do we get inventor pig as a Finney? He'd make a great themed Finney.

I’m a Rplanet player and it’s really fun to play and in general a great way to start in NFTs if you don’t know nothing about them but you’re familiar with video games.

I think is very popular for a good reason and it’s cool in general (because you can be part of it without paying hundreds of dollars).

Personally I see Rplanet as ground breaking , it is LP farming our NFTs from market value in the same way that all DeFi projects work to generate interest from staked assets. I can imagine a time in the near future where NFTs without staking power will be worthless compared to those that have. A piece of art that prints money while you HODL it is worth a lot more than a Picasso that sits on your wall or vault until you sell it.

Just like DeFi there will be a million competitors in this space soon

In BONZ we trust

rplanet seems to have big plans for the future. I've been listening to a couple podcasts with Bonz and he made it sound we're barely scratching the surface of what rplanet is going to offer. Having an established self sustaining defi system is already a huge accomplishment for a game in this (fairly new) space. I was lucky enough to grab a couple packs in the rig sale and can't wait for the next phases!

I'm still a collector at heart, and I think that's important to remember that at the end of the day we're buying pieces of art/collectables when we get caught up in rplanet and staking (unless you're buying rigs/rplanet NFTs specifically I guess, and I'm guilty of that too).

Take a look at what happened with Bosak and the debacle with his fanbase when one of his NFTs didn't stake at the advertised rate. Its not like he did it maliciously, the guy made a mistake. And why would he have pissed off his fans and stopped that money train from rolling on in? But they still turned on him and hell I even felt bad for the guy for a little bit. But thankfully rplanet has their new dynamic pools that can prevent content creators from aggressively trying to monetize themselves via staking power. Not that it will prevent people from flocking to anything that stakes, nothing can stop that.

I guess at the end of the day I'd just try and be happy with saying "I own that on the blockchain." and take any utility as a bonus. And always invest money you can afford to lose.

R-Planet was the 2nd thing I got involved -VERY LIGHTLY- with when I got into NFT. Just staked a few KOGS. Got in on a land sale because I exchanged some WAX for Aether and crafted several things... THEN sold my land pack because I didn't really understand or follow much in the space yet so didn't realize the mistake I was making. Sold the pack for...2k I think? 1500? Now the lands are all selling for multiples of that. The growth has been exponential and I don't see that slowing down considering this is only the beginning of the roadmap. Once all of the different pieces that are in place already have an in-game purpose, expect the trendlines to point straight up. To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised to see the common R-Planet lands selling in the tens of thousands relatively soon. Dollars, not WAX. The concept behind it is great, the team behind it is consistent and deals with the trolls and rage monsters really well, and in my opinion they are doing drops perfectly. They understand the value of scarcity very well. R-Planet has been a massive boon to the NFT space as a whole, has engaged the WAX user base nearly across the board, and has created an ecosystem where other creators can be rewarded through applying to the staking system. R-Planet took a gamble by taking the concept of staking and applying it to NFT's, but look at it now! Obviously it is paying off and continues to do so, and most likely will continue to do so in the future as well. Count me in for the long haul. Finny and I have some Aether mining to do. ;)

R-Planet is such an amazing game/tool. I'm not one who bothers with creating elements but the potential to those who risk it for the biscuit can be massive.

I've just graduated from being a "guppi" in regards to the rplanet discord ranks and I'm still hungry for more. The passive income you can make from the game is crazy.

When I first discovered rplanet the mini mining rigs were only $40, later I was going to buy a mega for $400 and thought nah that's a bit steep, 2 weeks later $1-2k.

My only question to the creators is wen cryptowriter?

Rplanet brings value to a lot of projects on first or second market. Nowadays there's a lot of people buying NFTs and playing with the probability of being staked on R-planet.

For example, it was rumoured that metaforce would staked, and, as soon as it did, the prices on second market immediately tripled.

Should all projects stake on R-planet? No.

Scarcity should be one of the conditions to be eligible. The number of existing NFTs interferes with aether mining power.

Quality also counts because R-planet is interested in curating the projects involved.

Strong community backed because, let's face it, involving new community members as new players, from a pre-existing community makes R-planet stronger.

With all this said, it's time to ask "Wen Writer on R-planet?"

A great read on an overview of what R-Planet does! It's always been a mystery what the human curiosity of the unknown has been. We've always been striving to discover new things and go to new places. I feel that our curiosity with space has been just that. There's been a plethora of new media about space and colonizing new planets, like Mars. I remember even as a child wishing and wondering what living in a new planet would feel like and how different it would have been.

I think that this innate curiosity for the unknown is what drives people towards R-planet. I've been an R-Planet player for a few months now and have had a very positive experience with both the game and the community surrounding it. I can see discussions going on in the discord every day about what members think the recipe would be for elements have haven't been discovered. The developers may not have expected such a simple game to be so popular, but in hindsight, I think we can all agree that the idea behind the game is simply genius. I remember back in late February and March how I thought spending $70 on a mini rig pack or $200 on a large pack was insane, but now a deal like that would be swooped up immediately in the market. It's great to see new collectors join the community and rush to to part of something that can potentially be very big.

One can only hope that Cryptofinney will one day be big part of the NFT community. I strongly feel the project is one of the best I've seen in the WAX and EOS ecosystem. It doesn't try to be too much and convoluted that it daunts new players from joining, yet there's just something exciting about burning a coin and wonder behind what finney you'll get next that forces the a collector to keep coming back. As a lot of people say, the best solution should be "simple yet elegant," and that's exactly what Cryptowriter is doing! Thanks for the awesome article.

Great Article Rplanet has definitely taken off and having a lot of success with its game mechanics and tokenomics. One thing that I really like about Rplanet is how they are helping to support the Wax ecosystem by allowing different projects to stake their NFTS on their platform and earn a residual income. Like they say a rising Tide raises all ships. Rplanet is definitely that rising tide. Thank you

R Planet is fueling my NFT addiction. The passive income from staking my NFTs allows me to buy more and keep the cycle going.

Can't wait to be able to stake my Finneys though, them BTC miners want to mine!!!

R-Planet has taken the NFT space by storm and everybody & their moms want a piece of the action! I would have never imagined that a small investment several months ago into R-Planet would yield real, daily passive income. The success of projects like R-Planet and Alien Worlds has radically shifted the NFT landscape and proven to people that we're just touching the surface with NFTs. With the focused spotlight and lots of real money at stake, there's a lot of pressure on R-Planet to continue making the right moves (like staking Finneys (; ) in unchartered territories. There's a ton of speculative money pouring into R-Planet, but I think it's important to remember that there will be a lot of growing pains as they progress through their roadmap. Whatever the end result of that journey may be, there's no doubt that it'll be a huge case study on the use-case of NFTs and propel the industry forward.

I know there's an outspoken group of community members who feel that R-Planet staking shifts the focus of NFTs from the actual art to just its monetary value. However, I think it's important to get as much adoption, artists, and developers into the space as possible and think that, ultimately, great art & storytelling will always speak for themselves. Furthermore, everyone has a favorite ice cream and there's a flavor for everybody in the NFT space. This community is inclusive and supportive, and I'm hopeful that R-Planet will continue to bring innovation and excitement to old users and new users alike. Whether we were lured in by the money, the community, or the art, the end result has been the same: we're here to stay and we want more! Awesome article.

I like the idea of staking and the rarer things are the more staking ability it gives. I however tread lightly as I do not want people to follow projects just for staking pleasure. It devalues the work that goes Into the art and makes it harder to obtain sets, turning it into a staking cashgrab. I believe it's an excellent place to retire collections l that sit around all day collecting dust.
